At New Dog in Town Dog Grooming, I am a small in-home hobby pet salon. I have been a groomer for 8 years and have 12+ years working in the pet industry between being a boarding kennel attendant, working as a groomers’ bather/assistant, working along side dog trainers, and mentored under Cathy Kishel (Cathy’s Grooming Magic) for 4 years. At New Dog, my goal is to create a calm and quiet environment

to build a relationship with you and your dog, to be able to provide proper care, all while making your dog look and feel great! Unfortunately, due to multiple back surgeries, I am limited to only being able to groom small/medium dogs (40 lbs. However, I am hopeful to be able to build back up to accommodate large dogs in the future.

✨2025 ANNOUNCEMENT!✨ Happy Holidays everyone! I am here to announce that a huge opportunity has presented itself to me for the beginning of the 2025 year. As this journey doesn’t have a particular set date and will possibly be a spur of the moment thing, I am wanting to give everyone plenty of notice that a sudden reschedule could come up for scheduled appointments. I will, as always, accommodate everyone to the best to my ability if this were to arise for an appointment you’re scheduled for. I thank each and every one of you for your patience and understanding during this time.

✨NOTICE!!!✨ with all appointments filled for the rest of the year, I have opened up some additional days that I would normally have off. Those dates are as followed:

✨NOTICE✨ I will be CLOSED Monday, September 2nd for the Labor Day weekend. I will be back at it Tuesday, September 3rd! Have a safe and great weekend!

I will also be CLOSING early Thursday, September 5th and CLOSED Friday, September 6th as Rhouken and I are headed to the Bemidji Dog Show! I will be back to work Monday, September 9th.

✨NOTICE✨ Starting NOVEMBER 1, 2024 due to the number of missed, cancelled, and rescheduled appointments. I will no longer be taking anymore than 1-2 pre-booked appointments at a time. All clients are responsible for making and keeping track of all their appointments, as I am only a one person team with 100+ dogs who come to me, I am just unable to keep track of everyone at once.

Thursday appointments are also gonna become limited for multi-dog households and dogs who require more than 2 hours for their grooming. This, is in hopes that I can schedule more dogs on my other grooming days.

Thank you and I apologize for the inconvenience. If, you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to message or call me. A copy of this notice will be posted on my bulletin board and I’ll have extra copies if anyone wants one as a reminder.

WOW! It’s been TWO years already since I first opened my doors. I, honestly can’t say I did it on my own, but I did it because of all my wonderful clients who come to me and with all the support I get from so many others. Thank you all!

✨NOTICE✨ Starting JULY 1st, 2024, any haircuts that are either Full Hand Sc******ng or Speciality/Breed Cuts that require extra time than usual, will have a service fee of $25 an hour added to the base price of a groom. (Time starts after bathing and drying).

Like/Follow our new page. I have tried to recover our original page for almost a year now. Can't get assistance from facebook. We were ha*&ked and lost all control and our profiles controlling it were deleted. We lost 79 out of 80 5 star reviews on the page. If you follow/like our original page please unfollow/unlike it. Chip, Melody, and Halo’s owner was ecstatic that their paws and legs remained cleaned even though they ran in many runs in an Agility Trial this last weekend and the arena was all dirt along with a somewhat rainy and wet weekend.
I used CowBoy Magic Finishing spray on all three of them, as well for all my other clients dogs for their grooms. The spray also helps to keep debris/dirt of the coat and to help make brushing those tangles out of the coat a little easier. However, grooming at home is still a must and this is a product I recommend to use for daily brushes, if you bath your dogs in-between grooms, and it smells really good!
