Subtle signs of an emergency can include diarrhea or vomiting that lasts more than 24 hours or contains blood; ingestion of toxic substances; disorientation, or inability to urinate. Can you believe it is almost 2025! This notice is to inform clients that we need all prescription medication and food orders to be picked up and paid for before 5:00pm on Tuesday, 12/31/24. 🐍Rattlesnake season is fast approaching! Do you live in or take your dogs hiking in rattlesnake territory? Take a look a picture below for tips regarding rattlesnake bites. Luckily we have a vaccine that helps reduce the severity of the bite. The vaccine works by neutralizing rattlesnake venom but does not totally eliminate the need for treatment. It could, however, save your dog’s life by slowing down the spread of toxin and decreasing swelling and pain associated with the bite. The vaccine should be given right before rattlesnakes’ active seasons. We recommend making an appointment for your dog(s) rattlesnake vaccine booster in February or March and then having the semi-annual booster in August or September. Vaccinating out of season means your pet is not fully protected during rattlesnake season. Please give us a call at 559-733-2703 to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. REMEMBER: ‼️A snake bite should always be treated as an emergency, even in a vaccinated dog. If your dog is bitten by a rattlesnake, seek veterinary care immediately‼️

We will be having some unexpected plumbing work done tomorrow afternoon. There will be a lots of noise, including a jack hammer. You can wait in your vehicle, call us at 559-733-2703 when you arrive and we will come get you from your vehicle when a room is available or if you prefer to wait outside we can bring your pet into the building for his/her exam. If you don't think your pet will do well with all the noise please give us a call and we can reschedule your appointment for you. We are very sorry for any and all inconvenience!
