This guy, I can’t even.... I met this handsome hunk along with his amazing human whom I worked with for 3 1/2 years. Subsequently after starting my business his humans asked me to walk their boys regularly. I’ve spent many years walking this meathead aka Hadley along with his two brothers and then an additional third brother added this year. I always called him Haddie. He could make the saddest most pathetic faces, loved carrots, loved oversized stuffed squeaky toys, loved giving me wet sloppy kisses after he drank water, and loved his mommas. And he loved his Auntie Mary. I am really missing this guy 💔 RIP Haddie, long may you run🌈

I sure am going to miss this little dude. Griffey and I have put in a lot of miles together, walking three days a week. This guy is a little power walker 🐾🐾 His family has decided to move out of state. Today was our last walk together...I didn’t cry until I got in my car 😢

This is a really good read about the human/animal bond, loss, grief, support and acceptance. The author and her dog Sunny remind me so much of my relationship with my Yellow Labrador Shiloh 🙏🏼💜🐾🐾

When my yellow Lab died last spring, I was flattened by an overwhelming sadness that’s with me still. And that’s normal, experts say, because losing a pet is often one of the hardest yet least acknowledged traumas we’ll ever face.

Today is Animal Sanctuary Appreciation Day!

We at GFAS, along with our friends at North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance & Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the true sanctuaries out there changing the world for animals.

Sanctuary work is not for the faint of heart. It can be grueling, heartbreaking, and thankless. But without a question, it is life-changing, both for the animals you rescue and for the visitors whose eyes are opened to WHO these animals are and what they've endured.

We are in awe of all of you in this movement and will continue fighting for the animals alongside you.
