I don't know about you, but whenever I see a happy dog, it instantly puts a smile on my face. Being taken for a walk, played with, wagging tails, going for rides in the car....jowls flapping in the breeze, living the good life.
Then I see commercials of animals being neglected, abused, left out in the cold...it breaks my heart, I have to turn away because I can't stand to watch it. We have written the phone number down so many times I can't even count, but honestly, it's hard to commit to making monthly gifts when we don't even know what the money is being used for. When I donate, I like to know and actually see that my donation is being used as it was intended.
So long story short, I have decided to take a different approach to help shelters in the area. We will continue to donate our gently used blankets, but I feel the need to do more. I mentioned to my boss that I wanted to start doing fundraisers for local animal shelters (focusing on RI & CT). He generously donated 36 2019 calendars to help me get the ball rolling. We have been making these calendars for years, people love em! I am selling them for $5, and for every one sold, $2 will be donated to a local shelter....the other $3 will be used to purchase supplies for the next fundraiser..(maybe make candles "Candles for Canines" (and cats)...or practice my sewing skills to make gift bags/tote bags "Totes for Toby" (and Tabby)....lol, Idk!
Anyway, we'll start here with "Calendars for Canines" (and cats). The proceeds of this drive will be donated to Stand up for Animals, a 4.3 star rated facility in Westerly. When the donation is made, I will post proof of money given or a picture of supplies purchased w/ a copy of receipt.
I have not set up any payment system as of yet, so for now, in the comment of the style you would like to order, just let me know how many you want, and I will iron out the details of payment and delivery. (there are 3 available per style). If I am going to have to mail yours to you it's an extra $3.50 (I know, ridiculous, but I priced it at the PO).
Let's make life for these animals a little more comfortable while they wait for their hero to rescue them and give them a forever home! ❤

Delivered some handmade holiday cheer to Crankin' Out T's, LLC yesterday. Candle holders, light up decor, artificial wreath, & Christmas candles. As an added bonus, all non-holiday 16 and 8 oz candles are 50% off.
I will be working on restocking the mini fridge with freshly baked dog treats within the next couple days, and putting together some real Christmas wreaths made with pine branches, holly leaves and boxwood sprigs!! 🌲🌿

Many festive rawhide chews can lead to emergency vet visits. Most are made in China with toxic chemicals, dyed with unsafe colors, and may contain arsenic, mercury, and formaldehyde. Been baking most of the day to make sure we had plenty of healthy, all-natural dog treats to bring to the Voluntown Farmers Market tomorrow! Take the pup for a ride and stop in and see us....they'll feel like the luckiest dog in the world ❤️🐾 (as they should) 😁
Also, fall is the perfect season for candle burning. Made with 100% soywax. A portion of each candle sale is donated to a local animal shelter....to keep those pups as happy and healthy as possible while they wait for someone to bring them home 🏡 😊
