We have a couple spaces available for rough board or partial rough board in Voluntown, CT.

Quiet Barn, no bs or drama. 100x200 outdoor sand arena, round pen, Nelson auto waters (heated in winter), plenty of fields for grazing and summer time savings on hay. Discounts for multiple horses, bring your own trainer.

Property backs up to Pachaug State Forest. There is a 1 mile trail from the property to the blue line horse trail where you can ride for miles.

Maybe this year instead of fishing for manure balls…I’ll go ACTUAL fishing 🎣 🤔🤔 or maybe I’ll just have to listen to a guided meditation about fishing. That 💩 won’t put its self in the manure like. 😒

If you have your horse(s) at home, it’s not often you get the opportunity to have a candid moment caught with your own horse.

The mare in this photo is my ❤️. I’ve tried to sit with her while she naps. She always gets up when she sees me, first time we got to snuggle and it was caught on camera. Love this girl!

Spring came early on the farm!

Today WAS surgery day, I know a lot of people have reached out looking for update on how surgery went.

It was an extremely long, roller coaster of a day. Everything was going as planned until my heart stopped while the first 1 1/2” incision was made.

I’m personally writing this so, I am ok but definitely have some new things to figure out. I will need to see a cardiologist before I’m able to continue with the surgery. If you’ve been following this GFM, you may know that I do not have health insurance because the premium is $2600 per month and its just not feasible. I will keep pushing on regardless of this hurdle.

I feel so blessed that I’m able to write this update personally. It could’ve been a lot worse, my children left without a mother and a husband without his wife.

I’m so grateful for all of the kind words, sharing, likes, encouragement and your donations.

I’m almost a 1/5th of the way to the original goal amount. The goal amount was meant to cover the actual out of pocket expense for the surgery. We now have a new financial piece to this. If you can or are able please consider helping our family with a donation that will put me on the path of being pain free.

September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

Su***de darkens the days of so many lives in America each year.

According to statistics in the year 2022 between men and women of all ages, 388 people took their own lives. I would bet top dollar there are 388 families in CT that wish they could’ve changed the course of life for those individuals.

I personally have been affected by these statistics too. It’s life altering knowing someone you love is suffering in silence.
