Ian and I are heading back to Atlanta this weekend to start fulfilling the pre-sale calendars and plush, so I thought it would be appropriate to post this epic side-eye photo of Tuna in our Atlanta house last Christmas since he can’t fly to Georgia with us.

Happy 1 year anniversary to me. 1 year ago today after 35 years Tim and I separated. Although it was not how I saw it turning out but I chose to face it head on. I have used the year to reflect and make changes be a better version of me and lots and lots of therapy which I would highly recommend to anyone male or female. I have achieved an inner peace and happiness I didn't know existed. I have taken this year to learn it's ok to put myself first and to take care of myself. It is definitely a decision I do not regret. Life is complicated to navigate and you shouldn't have to go thru it being miserable. I chose peace and happiness because it's priceless. I will never regret the life we created and what we accomplished but I do regret that it came to this unfixable break and taking separate roads that will never have an intersection again. Thru all of this I have learned your gut feeling is your best friend and embrace the best decisions you can make for yourself.

Debbie’s Dawgs is a Facebook group created to honor Debbie Wi******er, a passionate lover who had a special place in her heart for senior . For years, Debbie raised funds for senior bassets in rescue through the *Daily Drool*, an online newsletter. After Debbie’s passing, Donna Lindy founded Debbie’s Dawgs in 2014 to continue her legacy and support senior bassets in need. Since its inception, the group has raised thousands of dollars for basset rescues across the country.

This December, Suncoast Basset Rescue (SBR) and its senior bassets are proud to be featured by the group starting December 2nd. SBR currently cares for 19 senior bassets, all of whom will be spotlighted during that week. From December 6th-8th, there will also be an online auction offering an array of basset-themed, Christmas-themed, and dog-related items. If you’re not yet a member of the group, we encourage you to join so you can see all of SBR’s seniors and participate in the auction to help support their care.
