We are a no-kill shelter,that means this is an animal shelter where animals are only euthanized if they are too sick to be treated or too aggressive to be suitable for adoption,.

Okay, just found put he was adopted from ACS about 4 years ago, no one registered his microchip, no answer according to ACS from the owners that live in San Antonio. Sooooo...I guess welcome to Hope For Dogs " Pippin"!

Okay, people I KNOW I'm preaching to the choir BUT, we have to get the word out better about dumping animal!

1. It a crime, punishable by fine and even jail time.

2. It's cruel and heartless, domesticated animals CANNOT fend for themselves.

3. It's a dick move, now others have to watch an animal suffer, with absolutely zero ability to help, with zero resourses in out laying communities

4.if this is your dog the has somehow "escaped" please contact Hope For Dogs for your pet.

So, thank you to all that donated to "fix Honey fund" as we have reached our goal! Today we waited till she made her appearance at Jupe Mills and without a trap or catchpole we got her!

She now has her MANDATORY 10 day quarantine period, first set of shot (dhllp) and to her horror a collar, and flea prevention.

She is such a great dog we could not see her without a home or proper medical care, have litter after litter of unwanted puppies, we really appreciate the monetary support as the rescue is broke as a joke.

It seems that someone is already interested in adopting her, so we'll hold onto the adoption process till we're 100% sure.

We got to her just in time as she has started her season.

Okay, this dog is a street dog stray in the town of Somerset, Texas not far from me. Several.people are "interested" in her, BUT she is not spay, vetted, or vaccinated. She is super friendly, and obviously already had a litter of puppies (saggy mammary glands).
Her respite is Jupe Mills, as the people there are trying to find her a forever home, but without vetting, it's a daunting task.
I'm hoping that all my friends out there in Facebook land can help me help her.

If ya could donate to the "help fix Honey" fund. even if it's just a few dollars, I might be able to swing a spay, we're all tired, tapped out, and running on fumes, but it's BEEN A LONG time since the rescue been this broke, and long since I needed to ask for money.

We already committed to fixing two male cats that the owner with MS cannot procure a LOW cost, much less free neuter, in an effort for her to keep her pets.

One more time around is all I ask for now...

No shots
Not fixed
No spay
No rabies vaccinations

Thankfully I'm not an island and with connections we found her a safe haven, her mom "accidentally got pregnant" and has no time for her.

Lucky we fixed her mother's dog, so we knew about her OR most likely the streets of San Antonio would have aquired another stray.

And so, this is the last save, we're broke tired, and saddened it comes to this.

A star to seek by, wind to take me home again.

Happy to say "Daffodil" is in a foster with adoption pending her final shots and sterilization. We at Hope For Dogs were blessed with a GOLDEN adopter and are thankful that she has such a great opportunity to be spoiled rotten! This holiday season remember to adopt, don't shop, support each other, and no matter how bad it seems, there are WONDERFUL adopting people in this world.
