With the challenges of the past year for so many of us, we have noticed the increase in need for Great Pyrenees rescue and rehoming. We’re so excited to announce the launching of our Great Pyrenees Rescue, June 1, 2021! Great Pyrenees are a unique breed in that they are immensely powerful working dogs known for guarding livestock and protecting against predators, while simultaneously being a nurtu

ring and loving family dog. We have been successfully raising, rehabilitating, and rescuing Great Pyrenees since 2007. Our methods have proven successful and allow Pyrs to develop and prosper according to their natural ability on open land with human family and livestock. Covid 19 affected all of us in different ways. Due to families facing financial struggles and relocating, many Pyrs were given up, abandon, or lost. Countless puppies and rescue dogs were adopted during the pandemic. Now as life returns to somewhat normal we are seeing a quick rise in the number of Great Pyrs in need and we want to be an open door and safe haven for them. It has been made abundantly clear to us at this time to do what has been on my heart for years...Help More Great Pyrenees! With this urgent need, we’re focused on making our property available for Great Pyrs in need of a good home. We're regularly contacted by people who due to unanticipated circumstances need to surrender their Pyr. We welcome them without judgment and offer the help needed. Another area of our focus is to aid requests for adult re-homing and rescue dogs. We truly care about Great Pyrs and their people! Every single Pyr needs a safe place with plenty of open space to run and flex their muscles. Our core philosophy has always been not to kennel our Great Pyrenees in order for them to prosper. It is our vision to build a space to rehabilitate them with out kennels! Our lives and our farm property have been dedicated to this amazing breed for almost 15 years. I cannot speak enough to their intuitiveness and connectedness to humans and their livestock when they are given the opportunity to thrive! We can’t express how excited we are about launching this new opportunity that will benefit so many of these amazing animals. We help Great Pyrs find wonderful homes and help you find your Great Pyr! Introducing Bubba, a neutered, four-year-old Great Pyrenees. While he requires updated vaccinations and flea/tick treatment, Bubba embodies the essence of a gentle giant, thriving on affection and attention. As an outdoor dog, he hasn't received the level of care and interaction he deserves, particularly as his owner's mobility decreases. We are seeking a home that can provide Bubba with comprehensive care and abundant love.
Bubba has not displayed any significant digging or escape tendencies, with only one recent minor attempt to dig under the fence. He exhibits protective behavior towards penned ducks and chickens, showing no aggression unless they are unrestrained. Therefore, if Bubba is intended to serve as a guardian dog, specific training will be necessary.
Bubba has a friendly demeanor towards everyone he has encountered and has shown no issues with other dogs. Although he has not been exposed to children, his gentle nature suggests he would likely adapt well to a home with kids. Additionally, he generally ignores cats, based on my observations.
He is a puff ball, long fur so lots of grooming will be needed! If anyone has Specific questions I am happy to try & answer them. Kari

Rosie is Available for Adoption!!

The following info is from her foster.

We took Rosie in as a favor. We immediately had her spayed and she is fully updated on her vet care.  She is a mixed Great Pyrenees/English Shepherd, female.  Date of birth:  8/23/2021.  While with us, she has been free to roam the acreage within her collar boundary.  We have Golden Retriever and a cat.  When she was with her original owner, she had experience with chickens and goats in Columbia, TN.  With us, she has been very domesticated and lives inside at night and during inclement weather.  Otherwise, she is outside and enjoys barking, lots of barking.
Rosie has not been trained, and she jumps up on others (not aggressively). She likes to give hugs.  She also assumed alpha position with our 8 year old golden. We believe that Rosie would do well with a young family with children and goats and possibly chickens.  She makes an excellent guard dog.  She has the sweetest personality! 
She loves to sleep inside, is good on a leash, does well with the PetSafe system, is completely housebroken, good with children and cats.

Great Pyreneese Mix Mom and 2 puppies rescued and needing good homes. Found exhausted, dehydrated, and underweight. They had hundreds of ticks, worms, and scabs from barb wire scrapes. Four weeks and $3,000 later, they are now healthy, filling out, and energetic. All ready for new families. All vaccinations, tags, and medications complete. Basic obedience commands, collar and leash introduction, name recognition, and house training started. Booster shots upcoming as well as spay and neuter may possibly be covered.
Currently on Simparica Trio and Frontline-Plus schedule. Leash, collar, food bowls, tags included. Vaccinations, bloodwork and evaluations done by accredited vetinarians from Cumberland Creek Vet Services. Discovered moms name is "Dolly" so male puppy is "Hank" and female puppy is "Reba". All three very sociable, playful, and friendly. May 14th they weighed in at Dolly 61 lbs (2 years old) Hank 26 lbs, Reba 23 lbs.( 5 months old) Will update photos, videos, weights per request. Can work with new owners logistics if out of area.

This is Darcy. Her owners are in their 70’s and overwhelmed. She is a three yr old that hadsbeen spayed, uptd on shots and flea and tick meds, she is micro chipped and like all great pyrs she is very loving and sweet. Can you help?

Kali is available for adoption! She is a 3 year old Great Pyrenees, spayed, house and crate trained, utd on vaccines, heartworm meds and flee/tick. She is good on a leash, pulls a little, and will react to some dogs and people on the walk. She is great with kids, very friendly and patient. She guards her bowl from other dogs and likes to be in charge with other dogs. She has a Doberman brother. She loves to be outside. She was born on a farm but has been a pet. She is protective of her home.

*No longer Available!* Maggie is a sweet Great Pyrenees with a little bit of golden retriever who is looking for a new home. Her family adore her, but sadly, due to serious health concerns with her human Maggie must be rehomed.

She is 3 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccines, great with children, no livestock experience so she needs to continue to be a pet, very affectionate and loves big hugs, located in Knoxville area, fine with cats, good on a leash, good in the car, crate trained, indoor and outdoor pet, and she has been trained with a PetSafe fencing system. She even loves the UPS man!

She will really make a lucky family happy! Please contact us if you feel that Maggie would fit in with your family.

Looking for a home for my dog Bear. He’s about 5 years old, neutered, and a Great Pyrenees mix. He has a great temperament but can be a little shy about new people. He’s good with rabbits, chickens, cats, and other dogs.

He’s also super helpful with barking when things are atypical (for example, when goats or horses get out of their fence or if strangers are nearby).

She is a 3 year old spayed female livestock guardian. She has always been with a flock of goats. No poultry experience.

She is in an affectionate sweetheart. She is available because her family has to downsize their farming operation.

She is up to date on vaccines and heartworm medication. She walks on a leash and loves to go for rides in the car. She knows how to sit. She is good with cats and will sit in your lap if you let her. She has no experience with small children.
