The Swanky Spaniel officially opened its doors a year ago today! It took a lot of hard work and determination to open The Swanky Spaniel! I would not be a business owner today if I didn’t have the support of the people who believed in me even when I wasn’t so sure I believed in myself. There have certainly been a lot of ups and downs in this first year of business but I have learned many life lessons! I’ve grown as a business owner, groomer, and person. The Swanky Spaniel is a small shop with just me and one other groomer, Sara. While grooming may seem like a “fun” job, it requires a lot of physical, mental, and emotional energy. We face many occupational hazards everyday. The bonds we create with our doggos, feline friends, and their humans make the challenging work meaningful! It is our goal to make sure every animal that comes into our shop knows that they are safe and respected while they are in our care. A special “thank you” to my employee Sara! Her maturity, kindness, and hard work are appreciated everyday! Thank you to all of our kind clients who see the value in what we do and trust us with the care of their furry family members! - Emily
