We would like to congratulate the 2024 Premier Halter Exhibitor for the Belgian Merit Program, Millerview Belgians! This was an exciting year for the industry with several large shows throughout the year.

"We are honored to receive the 2024 Premier Exhibitor award. Myself along with my wife and two sons traveled to six shows this year. We showed up to 10 head at most of the shows. We must thank Lonnie Miller for giving us an extra hand at the shows and our farrier Andrew Beachy. We as a family each have our role in our accomplishments, the boys playing a big part. Each year they continue to grow in their showing. They both help not only at shows but home as well. Being together and showing as a family makes it special. As we set back and reflect on the 2024 show season we are truly blessed. Raising and showing the 2024 National champion stallion and mare was a great highlight of the year. This was proud moment for us a Belgian Breeders. We had many other champions throughout the year including winning the premier exhibitor award NABC. As we take some time away from the show ring, we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our 2025 foals. It is always an exciting time of year for us. Seeing the foals being born and watching and wondering how they will turn out.
We are looking forward to the 2025 show season."

This year, the Belgian Alliance kicked off their Hitch Program. We had over 30 members sign up to compete in the program. The first annual Premier Hitch Exhibitor was Sherwood Groves Farm owned by Donald Sherwood.

"Sherwood Groves Farm is very honored to receive the Premier Hitch Exhibitor for 2024. I was very pleasantly surprised to receive the call from Michelle. Captain Buddy and Turkey Creek Damain aka Hank lead the six and make up my team. Buddy has been National Champion in the men’s cart class the last two years. Banner and Everganic Jule’s Jerome AKA Trump make up the swing team. Trump was also recognized as the NABC Grand Champion Gelding. SR Cruzin E. and Cornerstone Turbo are in the wheel. We would never be here without the leadership of our outstanding horseman Scott Love and all our crew. My former partner who passed away this year- Gary Groves would have been very pleased. We look forward to the 2025 Show season!"- Donald Sherwood

The annual meeting concluded on Friday at the Green Mill Village in Arcola,IL!

We started the day off with a great farm tour- thank you to the community for welcoming us and showing us some great horses.

After the farm tour, we had our annual meeting of members. We recognized Charlie Orndorff and Congolaise as our hall of fame inductees, our 2 scholarship recipients, and our merit, youth merit and hitch winners. Thank you to Shipshewana Harness & Supplies, Harbor Haven Tack & Supplies, and Signature Signs & Awards for designing our awards! We finished up the evening with the breeders showcase and the co****le tournament.
