Tale of two server rooms in a week.
One was the data center with 65 active DCFP (Dual Channel Fiber Pair) connections in the rack shown and the other was a simple server room/closet that was 45 miles away with a single channel fiber connection to this data center rack.
My job was to provision and test a new secondary fiber circuit to bring the site up to a dual channel service level of 1000GbPS which is a 1TB per second packet speed.
When I was finalizing the circuit, I transferred a entire 20GB testing directory from server to server in 1m 32sec. , that was equal to 5 - 4K resolution movies in less than 2 minutes. 😎
When I opened up the secondary to full bi-directional system traffic and repeated the test, it was just a tad bit slower at 1min46sec.
The third test was the fastest at 1min27sec. This was enough proof that the new router set was already adapting and optimizing.
I made the call to the NOC then they took over by using my laptop to finish the remote control items so they could remotely access the new router set.
So for about an hour, since my laptop has two ethernet ports, it was acting as a bridge to this 1000Gb circuit at 1Gbps during the config process this while the system security sync was established. LOL when the sync finished my laptop went from 100% utilization to zero and I knew we were done.

Just a quick look at two stations.
IMO, "Barry" the ghost storm that should have had a proper designation as tropical storm was responsible these historical amounts of rain across the state over a two week period.
