Weaned this morning so it is a little noisy! Finally got a break in this hot weather. All foals are at least 4 months old so it seemed like a good day to separate them. Mares have been off grain for this past week, electrolytes given to help encourage both mares and foals to drink during this stressful time. They are both on and will remain on their probiotics/prebiotics. Alfalfa hay in all the feeders for the weanlings! They all seemed to be good so far.
FAB loves the foals. Bet they will be bedding down next to him tonight if it goes like it usually does!
