What a stellar girl Shannel is! Every time out, she continues to impress with her professionalism and her ability to handle a big atmosphere. She has risen to every occasion and continues to give me her best each ride. This mare is just so incredibly special. What a joy she is to develop.

Mango truly gave me his heart and his best ride of the season, right when it really mattered. He was just stellar! He is just such a good boy and he tries so hard! There is no better feeling than being in the ring and having your horse be so “with you”. I couldn’t be more proud of him for showing what he is capable of in such a competitive division.

The most heartfelt thanks to all who support us and cheer us on both ring side and at home. Your cheers are heard and your love is felt! Thank you Jeffrey & Holly Taylor of Blue Ridge Farm. We wouldn’t be where we are without your guidance and inspiration day in and day out. And HUGE Congratulations to Holly on all of your victories this weekend!! We are so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful sport to showcase such talented horses. It is so amazing to watch so many great competitors putting in their best efforts! Congratulations to all who competed over the week, and all your individual victories! There is so much to celebrate! It was wonderful seeing you all!

Now the horses get to rest up and get ready to prep for the 2024 season!!

It was a winning weekend for SHANNEL FF at the Kentucky Dressage Association Summer Classic!

Shannel was absolutely stellar this weekend! She has come so far since the spring and she learns so much each and every time out. She won each of her four classes and was Training Level High Point for the Open Division BOTH DAYS! We were really hoping to get our second qualifying score for Regionals this weekend. Yesterday, we missed the score by a fraction of a point. Today, she was absolutely “with me” the whole ride receiving a 73.4% and securing her spot to go to Regionals. What an awesome young mare she is!

Huge thanks to all of our supporters; to those who were able to come out and cheer us on and person, and to our friends and family at home eagerly awaiting updates and scores. We wouldn’t be where we are without the coaching and support of Jeffrey Taylor and Blue Ridge Farm.

A week late on the update, but still totally brag worthy!

Mid-Ohio Dressage Association The Classic Show at Brave Horse Ohio, last weekend.

BELLISARO HHV (Bliss MF X Widmark) & Kirsten Fadenholz

First Level & Materiale

Mango tried his heart out and got wonderful scores in the upper 60s all weekend, at First Level, & even a 70% on Sunday! He had a great Materiale class over the weekend with a 76.5%! He is such a good boy and is the same horse at a show as he is at home. We have some things we are chipping away at, as always, but I couldn’t be more proud of him for trying as hard as he does.

Training Level, Materiale, & 4YO

Shannel was an absolute super star! She scored high 60s and into the 70s at Training Level all weekend. Her highlights were her 78.5% in her Four Year Old Young Horse Test and a 79.1% in her Materiale class. This young mare continues to impress us. She has so much talent and so much heart. She has come a long way since the spring and she takes away from every show experience. I just love her so much!

So thankful to have the other half of Yellow Pine Farms, Becky, in our cheering section for the weekend! We wouldn’t be where we are without the support, guidance, and coaching from the wonderful Jeffrey Taylor of Blue Ridge Farm! And as always, we are so thankful for our amazing family and friends for coming to cheer us on.

Shannel was an absolute star in her show debut winning all three of her classes over the weekend at the ODS Down Centerline Show at Brave Horse Ohio.

Training Level & Materiale

Scoring a 73% and a whopping 79% in her two Materiale classes. She scored a 74% in her Training Level test 1 and was also awarded Oldenburg High Point for the day with that score. Looking forward to a bright future with this lovely young mare!

SHE WANTS MORE is a stunning 2016 16HH granddaughter of Tapit. She has three beautiful gaits and a lovely flicky toe trot. This is a mare that could go any direction. We are excited to see how she develops as she settles into her new career. She is very nice to be around on the ground. She ties, stands for the blacksmith, and was even really great to body clip. We are starting her with ground work basics such as lunging, ground driving and sending her through the jump chute. Recent vetting on file showing no limitations.

SHANNEL FF on her first field trip off of the farm! ⭐️

Shannel is a coming four year old Oldenburg filly by stallion Rock Solid, out of a Stedinger mare. She has been doing super under saddle this winter with Caitlin Brown. We are looking forward to her Dressage debut this year in the Materiale as well as the Four Year Old division.

MRS ROBINSON is a seven year old 17.1HH mare by Animal Kingdom out of a daughter of Medaglia D’Oro. She has big expressive gaits and is a true upper level prospect. Balanced and athletic, jumping comes very easy to her. She is bold and careful through the jump chute and she makes 3′ look effortless. Sound with a recent vetting on file, she has all the right pieces to develop into a serious competitor.

She has been taking to our program really well and has a lot to offer. She has done ample ground work and is great to lunge or ground drive. She is lovely under saddle and is really starting to put the pieces together to find her balance. Missy is a super quick study and is super teachable. Not too forward of a ride but is willing and brave. Super comfortable gaits! She has been started with ground poles and cross rails and a few verticles.

We would love to see her go to someone who can truly appreciate her talent and develop her in the right way. She has so much potential.

MRS ROBINSON is doing super in her retraining and she is really finding her balance. She is coming into the bridle nicely and improves each ride. She is such a smart mare and is very quick to learn. We are so impressed with her progress!

CURLIN’S PRIDE
2012 16.1HH Gelding by Curlin out of a Tiznow mare

Curlin’s Pride is one of the best rides in the barn. He was used as a racetrack pony for a season when he retired from racing. Since coming to Yellow Pine Farms, Dessie has been doing a variety of things. He has done a lot of ground work and is really great to ground drive. He has been hauled off property, trail ridden and has been to schooling Dressage shows. He loves to be outside and is a lot of fun to ride on trails. He has been ridden both English and Western. He does neck rein and is a comfortable ride no matter what kind of tack. He has been schooling first level movements and has been introduced to lateral work. We have been using him in our lesson program for intermediate/advanced riders. He is a lovely mover and would excel in Dressage. Dessie is the ultimate comedian and will keep you thoroughly entertained with his personality. Flat work only. X-rays on file. JR/AA friendly.
