Our vision is a community where every animal is cared for. We have received our 501C3 non-profit tax status and now all donations are tax deductible.

FAT CAT RESCUE is a 501C3 licensed rescue for all types of animals who are lucky enough to come through our doors. When cats come to us they may be sick and skinny, but by the time we've loved them up they have become Fat Cats with healthy bodies, higher self esteem, greater trust in humans and a joy of living they haven't experienced in a long time if ever. So when we call a cat "Fat" we mean healthy and happy in every way possible.

Adoption Update: Oliver & Walter

We love getting updates like this! 🧡

Amber shared how well Oliver (formerly Pumpkin) and Walter (formerly Lil Boo) are settling into their new home after just one week! These two confident, cuddly kittens have already brought their daredevil energy to the house. 🚀💨

Big brother Charlie, who’s also a Fat Cat alum, has stepped up to show them the ropes, including how to play like pros. It sounds like these three are the perfect trio! 🐾

Thank you, Amber, for giving Oliver and Walter such a wonderful home and for keeping us updated. We’re so thrilled they’re thriving with you!

Adoption Updates!

We love hearing from our adopters and seeing how our sweet rescues are doing in their forever homes! 🥰

🐾 Apollo (formerly Kerry - black and white) has been with his family for just over a month, and it sounds like he's already stolen their hearts! His new family says, "We couldn't be happier." Check out these adorable photos of him settling into his new life!

🐾 Zoey and Zella (formerly Bell and Holly - black/white & gray/white) were adopted last February, and their mom has the sweetest update:
"It'll be a year at the end of next month, and they are loved more than ever. They love warm laps or a cozy blanket, and yes, I let them on the table 😝😝."

Here ye! Here ye! We have more adoption news!

We’re overjoyed to announce that Butchie has found his forever home with his new mom, Helen! ❤️ According to his foster mom, Linda, Butchie was so excited to start his new adventure that he jumped right into her carrier!

Butchie has always been a cat with a boundless love for humans. Before his foster journey, he made it his mission to charm every volunteer at the rescue. Whether it was greeting people by the volunteer entrance or sneaking into the storage room (Bubba impersonator) to soak up some extra attention, Butchie’s love for people was undeniable.

Now, Butchie gets all the pets and cuddles he’s ever dreamed of—and we couldn’t be happier for him!

Thank you to Helen for giving this sweet, affectionate boy the loving home he deserves. 💕 Wishing you both many happy, love-filled years together!

Kitten adoption updates! We love hearing from our adopters!

Sweet Lala Link is settling into her forever home beautifully! She’s already bonding with the resident dog and absolutely loves spending time in her new cat tree, where she can watch the birds and squirrels outside. 🐾🌳

Peyton and Penelope (formerly Cinnamon and Callie) are also doing wonderfully in their new home! This adorable duo is soaking up the love and making themselves right at home with their new dads. ❤️🐾

Meet Phantom
This handsome 6-year-old long-haired tuxedo cat is looking for his perfect match! Phantom is as sweet as they come and adores affection. He’s spent most of his life as an only cat and prefers to be the center of attention. Because of this, he’s a bit scared of other cats and dogs, but with proper introductions, he might learn to coexist.

Phantom would thrive in a home where he can be the star of the show, but we’re open to finding him the right match through fostering, foster-to-adopt, or adoption.

BREAKING NEWS from Fat Cat Rescue!

It turns out Krissy Kringle has been keeping a little holiday secret! 🎁 During today's spay appointment, the vet informed us that she is actually a HE! Whoops! 🤭

So, in the spirit of the season, we’ve updated his name to Kris Kringle—still festive, still fabulous, and still the most talkative cuddlebug you’ll ever meet! 🎅🐾

Kris says, "Boy, was THAT unexpected!" 😂 He’s recovering like a champ and will be ready to spread some extra holiday cheer in his forever home soon. Stay tuned for updates on this jolly little guy! 💕

Adoption Update!

We’re thrilled to share that Fanta and Tomi Girl, our bonded pair of sweethearts, have found their forever home together! 💕

🌟 Fanta: A laid-back treasure with a snuggly exterior, Fanta has made amazing strides in his foster home. With his foster mom’s care, he blossomed from shy to affectionate, finding comfort in her love. His heartwarming bond with Margot, the foster dog, showed us just how much he thrives in a calm and caring environment.

🌞 Tomi Girl: The picture of kindness and serenity, Tomi Girl is a cuddle bug who adores soaking up the sunshine from her favorite perch. Her gentle spirit and patience with both cats and dogs made her a shining star in her foster home.

These two have been a source of joy for everyone who’s met them, and we know they’ll bring so much love to their new family. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happy ending possible! ❤️
