Did you know Mini Australian Shepard are also called "Mini American Shepherds" as the AKC officially lists them as such? The breed developed in California, during the late 1960s, from small Australian Shepherds. Initially, the breedโ€™s name was Miniature Australian Shepherds, but it later changed to Miniature American Shepherd to reflect the Minature Australian Shepards American heritage! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Even though they are small, they still possess a strong herding drive that stems from their working dog roots! ๐Ÿšง๐Ÿ• They are considered very smart and need plenty of mental challenges ๐Ÿง  with training and activities to help burn off that excess energy! ๐Ÿ”‹โšก๏ธ
