How It All Began
After several years of leasing animals through 4-H and traveling in order to take care of them on another farm, our family decided we wanted our own. After months of searching we came across a gorgous 5 acres near the Illinois/Wisconsin border in early 2016, and knew that it was perfect for us.
Our farm name composed of the first initial of everyone in our family, to symbolize how we are all working together to make this crazy dream of ours become a reality. We love having visitors, so if you are interested in just spending some time on a farm, or maybe looking into raising a particular species of animal, we are happy to give you a tour and share our knowledge with you! After all, we wouldn't be where we are without the help of many friends and mentors!
At Jameks Farm, we are constantly expanding, but our main goal is to make sure that all of our animals have happy, healthy lives out on pasture, where they belong. We practice free-ranging and pasture rotation, so that animals and people alike can enjoy our land for many years to come. Some of the animals that call Jameks Farm home include turkeys, dairy goats, laying hens, pigs, ducks, rabbits, honeybees, and a variety of indoor pets!
