We met the Bush family of Norton, Ohio, EXACTLY two years ago today. Happy two year anniversary, Bush family!!! They recently adopted the cutest pure bred, black, German Shepherd, Koda! She did great at her initial training and we are so excited she will get to live a safe life off leash in her huge yard with her mew favorite packmate, Buddy. Handsome Huey is part of the Mickler family in Medina, Ohio. Huey used to love to dash out of the house and go straight to the very back of the property to chase things. They had a hard time getting him to come back due to him being pretty stubborn. We gave Huey some very clear boundaries with his Dog Guard Out-of-Sight Fence so he wouldn't chase critters too far away from home. The Micklers have a large yard, so Huey will have to reign it in and explore closer to the house. He can still be on critter patrol, but he will have to stop now at his boundary. He has a huge yard, so we're sure he will still have a great time sniffing, exploring and scaring small animals out of his yard. Welcome to the Dog Guard family, Micklers!

Sweet little Peach is the newest and fluffiest member of the Schechter family in Pepper Pike, Ohio. They've had our system for a while and couldn't wait to get her off leash in their yard. Pretty little Stella has a HUGE yard and the Flack family of Wooster, Ohio, wanted her to be able to enjoy it thoroughly off leash. They gave us a call because they had tried a wireless brand of dog fence and it didn't work out with their property. Unfortunately, many wireless and GPS fences end up having a circle radius and let's be honest here, most properties are NOT circle shaped... Meet today's featured Dog Guard pack member, Jax! This handsome ball of fluff is the newest member of the Hemming family in Canton, Ohio. We met them last week when we stopped out to make a small repair to their out of sight fence. They lucked out and moved into a house that already had our Dog Guard brand fence installed. When they adopted Jax, they knew they wanted to train him on it. They've had an invisible fence before, so they knew all about training. The Fort family recently moved to Medina, Ohio, and gave us a call to help get them all set up with a new Dog Guard Out-of-Sight Fence. They had another brand fence at their old property out of state, so it was pretty simple to introduce their favorite girl, Portia, to her new boundaries in her brand new yard. The Fort family decided to call us, Dog Guard of Ohio, because their daughter (Thanks for the referral Fosters!) also has our fence and they wanted to be able to cross train if necessary so their pups could enjoy both yards if need be. Just a fun dog pic to get you into that weekend mood! Meet Rambo the Doberman! He's part of the Blascak family in North Canton, Ohio. We originally met them when they moved into our service area in 2021. They already had a Dog Guard system at their old house and brought all of their equipment with them. (Shout-out out to our more southern Ohio Dog Guard Dealers, the Snedegars, who own Dog Guard of Central Ohio) The Blascaks had only great things to say about the Snedegars and their Dog Guard system. We were happy to get their system installed and up and running when they moved to North Canton.

We recently stopped out to fix some exposed wire due to soil/mulch erosion and a natural doggy path that happened to be right over top of the twisted pair wire. We got everything back in place for them and snapped this cute photo of Rambo.

The Bass family of Gates Mills, Ohio, has had our system installed at multiple houses. Recently, they adopted little Miss Irene, who was found as a stray in Kentucky. She's a petite senior chihuahua and may have a hard time seeing with her cataracts so the Bass family decided they should "Beep train" her for a bit so she can get acclimated to her huge yard. We had the pleasure of meeting the Zakrajsek family of Mansfield, Ohio, last week. They wanted their favorite sweet girl, Ki-Ann, to have some freedom in her yard and not have to be attached to a tie-out or stuck in a small fenced in area. She's an Aussiedoodle mix and has ALL of the energy. They have a great sized property and she's going to be super excited to sniff, play ball and explore tether free. We took a nice drive out to Bellevue, Ohio, last week to meet Kendra, Joe and their pup, Jameson. They recently moved and have a lot of property for Jameson to get all of his Goldendoodle energy out. He hasn't experienced such a big yard before and had to do several laps of zoomies during training because he was pretty amped up. We stopped out to meet pretty little Lucy of the Carpenter family in Orrville, Ohio, last week. We did some troubleshooting on their PetSafe system because Lucy had gone way past her boundaries and they wanted to make sure everything was working correctly. With some minor adjustment we got their system back up and running correctly. We also recommended tightening up Lucy's collar.

*Did you know if both of the metal probes on your dog's receiver aren't touching their neck at the exact same time, nothing will happen if they cross their boundaries. They may get beeped at, but sometimes that's not enough to deter them from crossing over their boundary.

With summer right around the corner it’s time for some friendly pup reminders. If your pup is used to regular walks around your neighborhood, try swapping some of those midday walks for some cool early bird or night owl adventures. Don't forget the doggy-sized water bottle because hydration is key – for both of you! And remember the paw-check rule: if the road or sidewalk is too toasty for your touch, it's a no-go for your doggo. Wait until a cooler time of day or consider some stylish booties for those sensitive paws. Now go enjoy the day, sniff out some new routes and make some paw-some memories.

We recently visited their property in Wadsworth, Ohio, to do a wire reroute for a new patio that they are working on. This handsome stud decided to supervise for a bit and then promptly fell asleep and took a nap while we were working. Sorry our visit was so boring for you, Oscar!

We first met Zoey and the Thomas family in 2013 when we installed their first Dog Guard Out-of-Sight fence. They've recently moved to Barberton, Ohio, and had us come out to hook back up their equipment and install boundary wire at their new property. Zoey is going to have a great time exploring all the new smells and sights of her new yard.

*We always recommend taking your Dog Guard equipment with you when you move. It's warrantied to you! Take your transmitter off the wall, grab your surge protector, ac adapter and collar/receiver pack it all up and call us to reinstall at your new home! Dogs already trained to the Dog Guard Fence at their old house just need to be introduced to their new boundary at the new place. They'll be running safely off leash in their yard in a couple of days!

Handsome boy, Buddy, is part of the Kaschalk family in Brecksville, Ohio. He's not a fan of smaller dogs (white ones in particular) and the Kaschalk family wanted to make sure he had some clear boundaries in his yard so he wouldn't go "visiting" them on the sidewalk or road. Buddy did great at his initial training and although he was a bit nervous, he's going to have a blast being off a tie-out and allowed to run freely in his own yard. Welcome to the Dog Guard family!

The Morris family of Wooster, Ohio, called us to give their two favorite girls some some boundaries. Meet Maybelle and her new little sister, Harriet! (Although little now, Harriet will soon be the biggest sister as she's a full sized Bernedoodle!) The Morris family new boundaries were needed due to Maybelle's recent zoomie path that spanned a couple of properties. They wanted Maybelle to be safe and zooming in her OWN yard. Miss Millie doesn't like making eye contact with strangers... and we totally get it! The Bertolini family had us repair an off brand dog fence system for them before, but they recently had us install our Dog Guard Out-of-Sight Fence at their most recent residence in the Akron/New Franklin area. Millie is going to have a lot of yard to explore and we are happy we can help her do that off leash. We'd like to officially welcome them to the Dog Guard family now!

We were able to snap a cute picture of Miss Lacey when we stopped out to do a little troubleshooting at the Ullman household in Wooster, Ohio. We first met her back in December and she was itty bitty. We love getting to see our Dog Guard pack!
