Same info as before. Just wanted to change the wording to reflect that this event is only possible due to the teamwork of local veterinarians willing to volunteer their time and expertise. Shout out to our long time partners, Dr. Charly at Red Barn Vet, and Dr. Jill Langlie. The vets from Back Roads Veterinary clinic are also joining in the event this year.

There are no words to express the deep ache we are feeling in our hearts right now. We ask our clients to please have patience and understanding. Dakota Veterinary Hospital will close at 12pm Tuesday, December 27th to allow our staff to attend the funeral of Sam Bakken, and support Dr. Bakken and her family during this difficult time.

** UPDATE **
We are making some much needed changes to our reminder services. Starting today our text number 701-786-1922 is no longer available. We are in the process of updating to a new client communication application. In a few weeks we will have a new text number available along with new text/email/postcard reminders, so reminders will look a little different. We apologize for any inconveniences and thank you for being patient while we make this transition. Updates to come!

Colfax vaccine clinic will be Tuesday, JUNE 7th, 2022 from 2-4pm at the Fire Hall. We will be offering cat and dog vaccines along with heartworm testing and prevention medications. No appointment needed.

Dear Clients,
Dr. Megan Pedersen would like to share some personal news with you:
I have accepted a new position as an associate veterinarian in Fargo to allow me to spend more time with my family and baby boy. This means that as of May 31st, 2022, I will no longer be at Dakota Veterinary Hospital of Wahpeton. It has been a pleasure to serve you and your pets, and I'll miss you all very much. Thank you for your trust in me during my time at Dakota Veterinary Hospital and for helping to make our hospital the special place that it is.

In our efforts to continue to provide our patients with the best quality care from our 3 Veterinarians, after May 31st, 2022 Dakota Veterinary Hospital will be referring after hours companion animal emergencies to RED RIVER ANIMAL EMERGENCY HOSPTIAL in Fargo. Our large animal emergency services after hours will continue to be available. We will also be closed on Saturday mornings but extending our hours Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 6pm. Thank you for understanding.

Reminder: if you can't get on the schedule for this day we do Heartworm testing anytime of the year. We try to be accommodating as much as possible and have this evening available for those that work during the day hours.
