So we have 2 that live 2 houses away wild that stay cuz “duck lady” feed em
Now we have 4 soooo math …🤔😆 I’m pretty sure since this is 2nd time he/she visited its s curious young adult .
Too cute & I love it!
My Mocha (cinn lutino) does not & scared him away 2 x protecting her territory! 🦜

Kona is on Henny but his gf is the Pearl “Gemi” he’s been mating both 2 weeks now , but Henny daily . Crazy bird! (FYI no nest boxes up , not breeding , just casual for 1.5 yrs now) 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Very funny 😆 girl! She will sit like this for 30 plus mins . Just “hanging out” 🦇 she’s very independent, doesn’t mess with or let any boys bother her. She likes to jump from a perch to a swing until it stops & redo over n over again . ❤️

This naughty guy Kona & his gal Streak are thinking about moving into this downstairs apartment!😾🙀 . Lots of mating this week & him utilizing all the recently molted feathers , foraging materials etc that was blown into the corner when my son did yard service other day AS A NEST 🪺 ugh!! 😩 I think I’m going to set up a small sprinkler daily to deter them from nesting there & to just take a cool bath instead! (Which sadly also encourages mating /nesting behavior. Damn Mother Nature 😹

Ok so we “believe” we are hours away from hatch , honestly since my pair decided NOT to wait til my broke leg story was better & instantly took over a pile of aviary floor debris as “their nest!” 😟 I’ve been “letting them go” mom & dad (their mom /dad , siblings & uncle make up my 17 Tiels flock) have been really good at mom at night /dad during day (we at about 80-85 degrees now daily)
They laid on June 4 it’s about time for 2 of 3 to hatch either today or Sat. ( 2 are confirmed fertile )
So ME today with advise for my tiel fren Andrea Torres decided to add a makeshift nestbox to see if they’d accept it! Yes they did … with flock curiosity gone … n dad sitting religiously today … it is quite possible they hatch tonight , especially since I say him “talking” to the eggs. Wish me luck on this “unconditional “ breeding /hatch situation. 😊🥰

My bonded pair without a nest box decided to use the pile I raked into the corner after cleaning aviary to nest 🪺 & lay eggs … 2 so far & momma sat all night on them & didn’t search & dad too. She has lots of company with the parakeet boys checking on her & trying to regurgitate food to her 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m not ready to breed , was going to toss the eggs but I’m very curious to watch with an unobstructed view to see if they get them to hatch 🐣 it’s not the best area & if it rains will they continue… it’s like a wild situation & im letting Mother Nature do its thing. Dad is protective of area but only a 12-20 inch area. If they get them to hatch , I will intervene & handfeed them. Crazy tiels 🤦🏼‍♀️

1st time in 🤔since broke leg in OCT that I was able to get in the aviary & clean up a lil bit, take pics & feed my feathered friends! Of course Handy (formerly known as Handhumper ) was the 1st to ride my head around 😂😂

Dealing with this sibling rivalry today I have no idea wtf going on! 😖😠 2 yrs no problems , they each have a male tiel bestie & things have been harmonious. But today I’m spray bottle water breaking them up 4x!!! Grrrr.
Both handicap both males , both in a mood!!!

This Myna guy n his girl always take free handouts! Every morning IF I didn’t throw them some dogfood He will squawk & stare at me 2ft away like “yo food plz” & he doesn’t fly away he waits for me to go inside & bring him the goods! 😂
he’s not Major … he’s Myna! 🤙🏻❤️🥰
sadly I’ve only seen 1 chick “almost survive” have yet to see them bring a chick to the feed station like my Red cardinal pair & saffron finch pair 😞

She’s so vocal … I missed her the other day just chatting away for 20 mins . She dip her head in food cup , chatter away. She is very vocal , only hen I’ve ever had so vocal ! She has so much to say … even while posting this she is just going thru all the whistles the boys taught her … but much much louder than her brothers 🤦🏼‍♀️! She even peck at things 🤣😂
