Valkyrie just chillin in the yard with me for awhile before bedtime. She's a high-energy 2 year-old. Spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines and is house trained. It takes her a minute to warm up to people, but once she does, she's all love and cuddles, but very protective of her humans. She is dog reactive so we will be placing her in a home where she will be an ONLY CHILD. She will need to live inside as a full-on member of the family. Loves to play fetch or really doing anything where she can be with her humans. If you're interested in adopting her, email dogs (at) tradewindspets.com. GERMAN SHEPHERD dog found May 28 in Wai'anae near Kamaile Academy. HHS has been notified and will pick up on Thursday, May 29 if owner has not claimed by then. Proof of ownership required. Cross-posting to other sites.

Day 2 at the shelter, and we’re already in love with Val -- a stunningly beautiful German Shepherd who is looking for a loving forever family through no fault of her own. The decision to rehome Val has been an extremely difficult one and has been reached very reluctantly due to a life-threatening illness in a family member. Val’s a big girl (90 pounds) and just turned 2 in April -- so she's really still a puppy at heart. She's high-energy, and knows basic commands -- although she decides on a case-by-case basis whether or not to comply. Her previous human says leash walking is OK, but she is reactive to other dogs. She's very affectionate, loves a big hug and gives kisses -- will also jump on you in welcome if she gets the chance. Full disclosure: She's never been around children or been socialized with other dogs.

She's current on all vaccines and has been spayed (including stomach tacking/gastropexy) to prevent bloat. She's also had X-rays that show she has excellent hip and knee conformation. If you're interested in adopting her, please email [email protected]. In the meantime, please enjoy the photos.

Oh my goodness!! Who could resist that super cute head-tilt? Meet Val, a gorgeous, gregarious 2 year-old German Shepherd.

SPOILER ALERT: We'll be looking for a SUPER forever family for this very special girl. She is needing a home through no fault of her own. A life-threatening medical issue with one her humans necessitated them very sadly and reluctantly having to give her up. She's microchipped, spayed and has had a tummy tuck (to prevent bloat). Loves people, but can be protective of her humans. High energy and LOVES to play! We'll be looking for a home where she can be the only child and will live inside the home as a treasured member of the family. World, meet Ruby and Teddy. Due to owner's serious illness, this handsome duo needs a loving forever home. They are bonded, and if possible, we'd very much like to place them in a home together. Ruby is a 4-y/o GSD/Husky mix. She's spayed, microchipped and weighs 75 pounds. Her medical/vaccination records are available. Her pet parent describes her as being good with kids, people and other dogs. Cats, not so much.

Teddy is a 7-y/o GSD. He's neutered, microchipped and weighs 60 pounds. Medical/vaccination records available. Pet parent describes Teddy as being mellow and good with kids, people and other dogs. Cats? Nope!

Beautiful male GSD found near Maili Deli on 02/09/25. Surrendered to Tradewinds Pet Suites where he is secure and has food, water and a bed. No collar, but he is microchipped, so hoping owner will see this post and come forward. Proof of ownership will be required. Cross-posting on other sites and to the HHS site. If owner is not found, he will be taken to HHS on Monday, 02/10. Mahalo for sharing.

So very happy to announce that Charlie has been adopted, has his very own forever family, a Corgi brother. . . and a new name. He will henceforth be known as Auggie (Augustus)!! Congratulations Auggie and to the wonderful family who adopted you. We hope you come back for a visit sometime!

Tradewinds Pet Suites, the parent company of the Geneva's Phoenix German Shepherd Rescue, would love to have your vote – actually votes, plural, cause you can vote every day – in KITV-TV’s 2025 “Best of Hawaii” competition. Voting is open now!

Here’s how:

Step 2: Scroll down to about the middle of the list until you see "Pet Daycare/Boarding."

Step 3: Type in "Tradewinds Pet Suites" as your vote and then complete your voter information.
