Another year has come to a close 🎉 Kitties fed, more spayed and neutered and some even made it into foster care to be adopted into furever homes. 😻
All because of you 🫵 We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible kindness and generosity of our supporters. Kids who dug into their piggy banks, one young friend who did chores, sold things, anything she could, to raise over $200 for her furry friends❤️
Many friends who give monthly support, others, donations made in memory of loved ones or in celebration of birthdays or for those year end tax benefits. Still others double their support with their employer matching programs. 💰
We are blessed and grateful for each and every one of you. On behalf of myself, Dawn, the volunteers and of course….. the furballs 🐈🐱we thank you and appreciate you. 🙏🏻😍 Wishing everyone a happy 2025 filled with peace, prosperity and great blessings.

I don’t normally post about kitties needing to be rehomed, but this girl is special.
Blackie is 14 years old and sadly her people passed away this year, they were Abaykitties volunteers.
Blackie is spayed and has been treated with Revolution monthly, I don’t know her vaccine status. Previously she was indoor/outdoor, but for the last couple months has been 100% indoor only and is a good girl. Using the litter box and not clawing the furniture.
She can be shy until she gets comfortable, but then is sweet and affectionate and loves to be brushed.
She’s currently staying in Volcano but the person caring for her isn’t able to keep her.
Let me know if you can give this deserving, grieving girl a place to spend her golden years.

For many years the kitties of Abay and other spots around Waikoloa Beach Resort, were blessed to be cared for by a wonderful team, Jim and Marilyn. ❤️
Many a feeder and trapper learned the tricks of the trade under their tutelage. Early this year we lost Marilyn and I just learned today that Jim has joined his lovely wife on the other side. I can’t even imagine the number of kitties that ran to greet them at the rainbow bridge. 😻 Thank you both for all you did for the kitties and all of us caregivers who were lucky to call you friends. RIP, together forever.

Please take a minute and sign this petition. It’s imperative our county step up and help fund the organizations currently providing dog and cat spay neuter services around the island. It’d be even better if they’d start providing services too or re implement the voucher program from years ago.
At the end it asks for a donation. That money does not go to the cause, it goes to change org

And an extra special thank you to the incredibly kind couple in the Costco parking lot today who loaded all of this into the back of my van !!! What a blessing. Cat people are the best. 😻

This gorgeous blue tabby has been inconsistently hanging around Abay since August. Attempts to scan him for a chip failed because I could never find him.
I finally got to meet him yesterday. Unfortunately he’s not chipped. 😢 An absolute luv bug who craves affection, he has to be a pet that was dumped. I think he’s figured out the routine now and knows who we are, so hopefully he’ll stick around and come to dinner each night. ❤️

Shout out to Petfix Spay and Neuter ! 🎉
This amazing organization was started by 2 sisters on a mission to make a difference, and they are. 5000 animals spayed/neutered in 2024, they do dogs and cats. A milestone worth celebrating. Can’t wait to see what they do in 2025. Congratulations Petfix team, and thank you. ❤️🐾

Yesterday we altered animal #5,000 in 2024. We could not be more grateful to our incredible vets, vet techs and the world's best volunteers.
