Our Story
My name is Lauren McIntire and I am here to offer you personalized & professional pet care straight to you in your home!
Whether you’re planning a get-a-way or just having too long a day, Lauren's Critter Care is ready to help you with your pet’s needs. I live in central Fort Collins and have been providing my clients in-home pet care in Colorado since 2013. I have over 5 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician and still work very closely with veterinarians in the greater Fort Collins area. I am Canine and Feline First-AID and CPR certified. I also have an additional 10 years of experience working with horses in an abused and neglected horse rescue setting. I am originally from Washington State where I graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology; specializing in Animal Sciences. I initially moved to Colorado to fulfill my life-long dream of attending CSU and becoming a veterinarian. In 2016 my client base grew to the point where working as a full-time Veterinary Technician was restricting the amount of care I could offer. At the beginning of 2017, I was able to fully switch over to providing in-home pet care to those who wanted to offer their beloved 4-legged friends reduced-stress care in the comfort of their own homes. My Services also allow you to have reduced stress while you're away from your best friend(s). No more worries on the day you leave about who will drop your pet off at the boarding facility. And if you're delayed on your return trip, no more worries about arriving late to find your boarding facility closed leading to additional boarding expenses and more time away from your furry friends. Ultimately, your furry/scaly/winged/hoofed pet can stay in the comfort of your home reducing their confusion and stress during a time that may already be hard for them. I provide all of my services with love, as if I were caring for my own animals in my own home. Services that I frequently provide include: dog walking, scheduled feeding, horse care, feline care, exotic animal care, exercise, and playtime. Additional services include: pet taxi; hiking with your dog; tack care; yard scooping; barn and stall care; kennel cleaning and more. I am also highly skilled and available to assist with administering certain medications as prescribed by your veterinarian.
