If I had to choose a single photo to sum it up for me, it has to be this one. This is what it's all about. The ribbons, the titles, the drive, and the work ethic of these dogs will always make me pause and marvel. But this...

The treasure that is a driven working dog in "family mode" is indescribable. This is what I strive to carry forward in my lines- will this dog work for me? Yes. Will she protect? Also yes. Is she still safe, sane and stable enough to take out in public with "her" baby and still allow respectful strangers to come pet her on our terms? Absolutely. And having a dog stable enough to do all those things without a second thought is invaluable to me as a mom and as a breed enthusiast.

Yes, we're quiet. Lots is happening behind the scenes for our family and our kennel and unfortunately that means shows and sports are fewer and further between for us. We took a little time out to make an appearance in Enid this month and Talon made it worth our while earing her first champion points after having the last 19 months off while I showed other dogs and upped our household headcount 😅 This girl has shown herself to be rocksteady and inflatable no matter what I throw at her, and I'm excited to get to work with her more! Two years ago today, I got the call that this girl had made it through the night and could come home. We now know she suffered a rattlesnake bite just above her shoulder blades. Until last month, we had never seen a venomous snake here, though we knew they were around. Her recovery took months through which we monitored labs and slowly rebuilt her strength now, you'd never know it happened except for a few odd hairs where she was bitten.

In the coming weeks, we'll be reintroducing ourselves and dogs. Stay tuned to meet "the girl who lived!

I absolutely love watching the puppies I delivered into this world grow and thrive! Once in a while, the accomplishment comes from my own hands.

This sweet boy has been shown exclusively in AKC's Bred by Exhibitor class and on July 20, he earned his final point for his champion title followed by his first grand champion point the next day! To add an extra layer of special, Barkus earned these points at the St. Joe Kennel Club show which is where I attended my very first show as an Exhibitor with his mother. He accomplished this with limited showing, and I look forward to many more exciting accomplishments with this guy.

Like his brother, I am blessed to share this special boy with his family. My co-own families have been absolutely invaluable in their efforts with their dogs!

Although still pending AKC validation, it is my pleasure to introduce to the fancy CH Overwatch's My Brother's Keeper ATT.

Very late post, but no less proud...

On June 26, this dynamic duo became the first Overwatch bred AKC champions. Hot on his mama's heels, Show Drago has emerged and we couldn't be more proud! At 22 months old, this guy still has more growing and maturing ahead of him, but he's already made tremendous strides both in and out of the breed ring. It's been an absolute honor to watch this pair learn the ropes of showing and earn a broad variety of titles while showcasing their amazing bond.

And. They're. Still. Going.

Great co-owners are such a blessing and this guy's accomplishments are a testament to his human's dedication. Drago definitely would not be where he is if not for Bri!

There's just something about your first show dog.
On February 2, 2019, I stepped into the show ring for the first time in my life, and Jazzy did, too. A baby handler and baby showdog.

The years that followed brought innumerable life changes for both of us. Titles for her. Babies came (for both of us), and we fought to mend stubborn injuries that taunted us with appearing to resolve only to rear their head the moment I dared to hope (or enter a show).

Through it all, though, one thing remained... she has and always will be my rotten baby diva princess. On April 4, 2024, Show Jazzy showed up and showed out. It was as though we never stopped showing. She looked phenomenal, she FELT amazing, and she radiated everything we love about her- confidence, swagger, grace, power, stability, beauty. She was in her full glory and earned Best of Breed over TWO champion corsos, including her beautiful sister who earned her final grand champion point at the same time!

There isn't a day I'm not grateful that chose to take a chance on a complete novice by sharing this sweet, spicy, sassy work of art with me. She has already made an indelible mark on our fledgling program as foundation for future generations and in our hearts as the spoiled, beloved princess of the house. The support of a great mentor and even greater sh*tshow wrangler (I'm looking at you ) is invaluable and I'm so glad you were both there to share in our accomplishment after such a long road!
