We are small family run farm with 24 horses and ponies and a menagerie of other animals, living in beautiful North Carolina woodland on the edge of Falls Lake. We are in the middle of the countryside but just down the road from Raleigh, Durham and Wake Forest, in North Carolina.

Today sweet Poppy passed away. Being an older girl we had been giving her extra care these last few months and I thought it had been helping as she was moving around more and enjoying the extra attention. She was about 13 years old. We will miss her sleeping under the saddles and her special grunts.

We are having camp the following dates:

This morning our emu had a huge wound on his neck. I'm guessing he happened to catch part the wrong part of a pole and cut his neck. He was still in good spirits, walking around and eating. He went to the vet school and they stitched him up. He was a great patient. He is now resting comfortably in a stall. He has to stay in the stall for 5 days to limit his movement. The bill was $1850. We have trail ride availability this weekend! For our trail rides we teach you how to groom the horse, tack it up, ride around in the arena, and go for a trail ride. The whole process takes about an hour. The horses only walk and a helper might be with you. It is $50 per person. Everyone must wear a helmet (that we provide) and fill out a waiver. Our weight limit is 215lbs. We have camp availability: -June 24-28 -July 15-19 Text me at 919-229-9772 or email me at [email protected] to sign up for camp or a trail ride!

Woohoo! It is everybody's favorite time of year! The horses have been going out on the grass for a few weeks. I had to lead Cal down a couple of times as he didn't know what to do (Rizzo had no trouble figuring it out). We have 4 camp spots still available. Posey and Sweet Pea are excited to see you all at camp! (Some may say they are squabbling over the best sun spot 😉) We still have some camp spaces available! June 24-28. Week #2 Cost $480 July 8-12. Week #3 Cost $480 July 15-19. Week #4. Cost $480 Camp weeks #1-4 are open to ages 5 and up. Camp is Monday through Friday 8am to 2pm. After care is available Monday through Thursday $15/hour/child. No experience required. Campers will be split into groups based on age and experience level. Riding portions will most likely be at a walk only. Campers won't ride on Mondays as they will drive the Shetland pony cart that day but they will ride the rest of the week. Check out out website for more details. Link on bio. Campers will get to learn: - how to groom horses/ponies - how to handle horses/ponies in a safe manor - how to drive a Shetland pony cart - how to feed and care for horses, ponies, goats, emu, chickens, and bunnies - how to be safe around animals - how to have fun around animals!
