As 2025 comes to an end, we’re heading into the new year energized and ready to help even more dogs and their future families. This past year was an important one for us—we took time to pause, regroup, and establish a renewed vision and mission that will continue to guide the work so many of you know and value. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support and dedication of our volunteers, who consistently show up ready to help wherever needed, offer thoughtful feedback, and inspire us to keep moving forward. Here’s to 2026, to building on the foundation we’ve created, and to helping even more dogs find their way home.

How this guy hasn’t found his family yet has us all stumped! Pugsley is such an adorable and fun little dog!

We think Pugsley is about 10 months old and a chihuahua and possibly Italian greyhound mix based on his stature and toothpick-like legs. He loves his time outdoors, squeaky toys, and a bit of roughhouse and chase! He can be a little nervous when meeting new dogs, but adjusts very quickly. He’s a smart and affectionate puppy who hopes his new family will help him gain the confidence and social skills he needs. Pugsley is afraid of cats (they can be scary, ok?!) and would prefer a home without any. Introducing Hatti the snow bunny 🤭

Hatti had so much fun in the weekend snow and showed off her extra playful side. She’s a really fun, sweet little dog, especially once she warms up and feels comfortable. Hatti’s ideal home would be one where she can flourish with love and play. She would do best in a low traffic household without young kids. Patch is all smiles today sledding with HIS family! That’s right folks - Patch is ADOPTED!

After spending a few months with his foster family here in RI, they decided he was part of their family and was meant to stay. He lives with another SOS alum, Shirley, and his mom and dad love him very much.

Patch’s journey is rescue started at the beginning of 2025. He was part of an unplanned litter that was taken into our southern partner Wiley’s Fixed and Fabulous community spay/neuter program. Patch was ultimately surrendered and needed to undergo heartworm treatment at just 8 months old. Because of that, he was pretty limited in what he could do social wise and needed some extra time in his southern foster home before heading to us. He continues to be a sensitive guy and his family has really taken the time to understand his needs to help make him feel safe and loved. If you ever met Patch at an adoption event the past few months, you could see how attached he was to his foster mom, now forever mom! And the good news - they plan to foster again after giving Patch some more time to settle as a permanent resident.

Nothing like a pillowy croissant on a Saturday 🥐!

Meet Cee Cee! This gorgeous girl is about 3 years old and we think a pointer/corgi mix. She is an active and smart dog and is looking for someone who give her the right physical and mental stimulation. She is very affectionate and still pretty jumpy - learning some basic manners is high on her priority list. She would be happy as an only dog or with another canine companion - she’s a very playful pup and has enjoyed both playtime and cuddle time with her furry foster sister. We would not recommend Cee Cee for a home with small kids as she’s quite boisterous. Cee Cee is always up for a hike or a snuggle and would love a home that values both those things. A very Merry Christmas from Bee Sunshine ❤️

Bee enjoyed some extra special treats from all of her friends and says thank you to all her friends who filled up her gift bag! She’s been recovering well from surgery and has a built in pillow cone until her stitches come out on January 2nd. She’s really enjoyed snuggling up near the wood burning stove to stay warm while she recuperates and spending lots of time with her foster family!
