Miriah taking treats from Lacy 🥰
And to think of all the past criticism from the other local rescues. Saying that it was inhumane to keep her alive because of Miriahs fear of people through her abuse...
All.I have to say to you is....

This gorgeous boy needs a soft landing...
Do you have room in your life for him
Meet Texan, he is a 20 plus year old 16.1h Percheron gelding he is very sweet very easy to handle not pushy.
He was saved out of a Texas kill pen he was heading to slaughter he was part of what they called a frontier horse which means he was used for packing and trails in the Yellowstone national Park he does have freeze brands
He is what you call a special needs horse meaning throughout his life whatever he's been through he has worn his front teeth down and due to his age his molars are worn so he requires hay pellets as well as senior feed but you do not have to water any of those down he does try to chew hay but obviously wads it up when it does give him something to do
He is good for the vet but does need some work with the farrier when we got him he had shoes that were once I smaller than what he required and were nailed on with these nails that were meant to keep a shoe on for an awfully long time so obviously his foot grew over the shoes he was a one in the body score when we got him but with the right diet he gained weight very easily and will maintain it if kept on the same diet
He is current with a dental All is vaccinations he also is microchipped has been wormed and had farrier care but may require stocks
He is no known health issues or physical issues that we are aware of We are looking for that perfect home for him to either make him a friend for another horse or maybe an occasional ride here and there if you think you can give Texan a wonderful home please feel free to contact us at
[email protected] or call text 419-350-4195
His adoption fee is waived with approved application and understanding that if it does not work out he must be returned back to the rescue
