Who knew building a greenhouse would double as a puppy playground?! The puppies love exploring and developing all their motor skills by climbing around the different projects our homestead has in progress.

They are also making great progress with crate training at night. From 10pm till 6am they have been having no p**p accidents and almost no p*e accidents in their crates. As soon as we let them out in the morning they go potty, so housebreaking is well underway for their future families!

These are Cora's adorable 2024 puppies! They will be 8 weeks old on Tuesday and able to go to their forever families the following weekend (August 10th). They get their first puppy shots tomorrow!

We are still figuring out each of their personalities and will update soon! There are two females and three males available.

Time sure does fly! These puppies from Lily's litter are 8 weeks old this weekend and go have their first shots tomorrow. They are almost ready to go to their forever homes!

Orange collar is my outgoing adventurer. He loves following us around the property and is always the first to stay hello to the chickens or to visitors. He would do great with a family who enjoys traveling, hiking, has some land or a farm. He loves being outside and would thrive with other dogs as he is quite social.

Brown collar is such a laid back, chill, go with the flow type. He will cuddle with you for hours and is quite content to supervise (and nap) from the comfort of the shade. I envision him doing well as an in-town dog or as a companion for an older person. He's social, but also confident and content on his own and could adapt to life as an only dog or a companion to an older dog.

Red collar is truly a classic all around pup. He is equally content to go on adventures or lay around the yard. He will go off and lay by himself or play in the middle of a dog pile. He's always pleasant and content. He'd do great in a family and I can see him thriving in almost any situation.

Oakside is so excited to announce that last Tuesday, June 11, Cora welcomed 5 beautiful, healthy puppies into the world! 2 females and 3 males. Momma and puppies are doing perfectly! I have lots of puppies available and deposits are coming in. If you have any questions for me, let me know!

Last night Oakside's Fire Lily welcomed five beautiful puppies. Four males and one female. They are all absolutely perfect and Momma did such a good job with her first litter.

This very pregnant girl, Lily, is due on Sunday (but could really come any day now). Upside down on the couch seems to be her happy place at the moment.

When "Mom" is doing a bee inspection, but you are afraid of the bees, so you go and lay in the garlic.

Cora is due with a litter of puppies next week! The deposits are coming in and we are all getting excited for the 2024 generation of Oakside puppies!

We are working on putting in 5 raised beds and these two expecting Mommas were quite enjoying lounging in the sunshine. We can't wait to meet their litters in June!

We are thrilled to introduce two new members of the Oakside family.

Susie is a brindled grey 2 and a half year old AKC female. She has the most cheerful temperament and is eager to follow us around the farm. She sits on our laps and cuddles during the evening and has a record of producing beautiful puppies. She's truly a gem of a mother and companion.

And for the first time EVER Oakside is welcoming it's very own stud male, Beau. Beau comes from a pedigree packed, I mean PACKED with AKC Champions. Not only that, but he has the absolute sweetest temperament. He's so chill and relaxed, yet confident. He is our shadow and does much of his sleeping in our arms. We couldn't be more excited to add his genetics and personality to the Oakside lines here in a year or two.

Thank you to Linda Klingenburg for bringing Susie into our lives, for breeding this amazing male and for the decades of collaboration we've shared. Blessings to you on your retirement.

We have one puppy left for our 2023 year. This little black fellow spends his days as part of our family. Yesterday I caught this sweet moment with my son, the puppy and two of our other family pups. The puppies, their Momma Cora and another female of mine, Lily, were having epic fun last night in the yard! I'll never get over how cute the little puppy barks and growls are 🥰. They find so much joy running and playing until they tucker themselves out and are ready to snooze on a lap for HOURS!

Today "little girl" (pink collar) joined us for a short hike. She did absolutely perfectly. She followed along off leash the entire time, independently navigated all trail obstacles and greatly enjoyed her adventures. She then promptly curled up in our laps and slept the whole ride home in sweet, tired puppy fashion.

Our Oakside puppies are truly part of our family until they find their forever homes. We socialize them and expose them to everything possible. This little girl is still looking for her forever home! Oakside only has 3 puppies left for our 2023 year! These three, sweet darlings are ready for their forever home and already well started on house breaking. Check out their descriptions below for more information on their unique personalities!

Yellow- Male- he's our little adventurer. He will follow us up to the garden or the chicken house and all over the farm. He is confident and loves adventures. He would love to go to a family that has a little land or enjoys traveling and hiking. He adapts to new situations well and would just be an excellent companion in every situation.

Green- Male. This fellow is our shadow. He doesn't necessarily want to explore new situations first, but he will happily follow along as to not miss out on the fun. This fellow is a bit more reserved in his exploring than his brother (yellow). He loves to explore, but definitely appreciates his comfort zone a bit more. I could see this fellow enjoying the routine of house in town with a back yard, daily walks and a sense of familiarity, with a few fun adventures thrown in.

Pink- Female. She's our spunky little lady! She loves to play and romp with her brothers and keeps up, even though she is smaller than them. She's calm and confident. She doesn't get worried or anxious by much and enjoys exploring. She loves people and following us around the yard. She has enough independence that she would do well as an only dog, if needed. She also gets along well with other dogs, including large dogs. She would do great in a variety of situations. She's very affectionate and is ready to be someone's spoiled little "doll baby."

Personality profile!!

Meet "Yellow" Puppy (per his whelping collar)

If you are looking for a small size dog who's up to joining in the adventures of your family, this fellow has the temperament for you! He's brave and quietly confident. He loves exploring and investigating. He will follow us up each day to take care of the chickens and is the first in the litter to go up and say "hi" when the chickens visit the dog yard. He's super chill and settled and just goes with the flow of whatever adventure is before him. I could see him fitting in wonderfully with a family who enjoyed hiking, had a bit of land to explore, or enjoyed traveling!

At Oakside we spend time with our puppies. We get to know their personalities and the different nuances to their disposition. We take great pride in matching puppies with the right family!

These beautiful puppies are ready for their forever homes THIS WEEKEND!! I fall in love with every litter, but each one of these puppies have just stolen our hearts! If there is a personality type you are interested in, let us know because their individualities are shining through now! The color mark on their photo is the color whelping collar assigned to that puppy. Red, yellow and green are males. Pink and purple are females. They had their vet check today and all got perfect bills of health!

Who doesn't need a sweet good morning yawn from puppies during breakfast on this beautiful July morning?!

Puppies are starting on moistened dog food now and still nursing from Momma whenever they want. They are toddling around and beginning to explore their outdoor world. They have even discovered their teeny, tiny puppy barks. This is such a sweet age.

It's been a cold and rainy day, but Momma Cora decided it was the perfect opportunity to nap by the warm fire. We are officially one week from the litter due date (give or take)! We are currently accepting deposits on this litter and should have males and females available! First deposits get first picks, so get yours in soon!

Note: Cora is solid black, but just recently got a hair cut to keep her neat a tidy during delivery and more comfortable in the summer heat (if it ever decides to stay warm!)

Hair cut day at Oakside! Today it seemed fitting to finally welcome in the warm weather by giving all the girls a trim. Yes, they always look a little bit bald the first week after a new hair cut, but they are soooooo much more comfortable.

And can you spy the expecting Momma? 🤗 That's right!! Our darling, beautiful Cora is expecting her first litter! She's due at the end of the month and we are now accepting deposits 😁. We are so excited for her first litter. They are going to be absolutely lovely!

It's an absolutely beautiful day for some puppy adventures! We love getting our puppies outside as much as possible and letting them explore their world, adapt to different textures and sensations and develop their muscles and motor skills! On Thursday, January 12, Oakside welcomed a litter of five beautiful puppies! Four males and one female. We still have puppies available for forever homes! They will be ready to go home on Thursday, March 9, pending veterinary clearance. Message me if you are interested in putting down a deposit! (Sorry it took me a week to post. My son and I both were positive for COVID and so it's taken me a few days to get on here to update you all!)

She sat up when I walked in to check on her, but we are still waiting patiently for puppies. We can feel the puppies rolling and moving inside Layna's belly. How interesting that must feel to her! She's enjoying being snuggled with her daughter from her last litter (left), her mother (upper right) and her buddy who's not genetically related (lower right). When active labor starts she won't want them around, but for now they are all enjoying cozy cuddles.

Today is Layna's due date and we continue to wait patiently for the puppies. Despite some contractions and being a bit uncomfortable, she's still able to relax and rest. Active labor could start any time (she notoriously gives very little warning), so we will be vigilant tonight. Puppies are still available from this litter, PM me if you are interested!
