So I was asked why the name Blind Canary for your cattery? It all started when my father, sisters and I decided to carry on the family tradition of making wine. My father did it with his father and had fond memories. We had to pick dandelions in the yard as kids for him to make dandelion wine. 😀 When deciding on the name for our wine we went with Blind Sparrow in memory of my grandparents who loved birds but also playing off the potency of homemade wine. If anyone has drank homemade wine you know you quickly forget the night = blindness. When picking my cattery name they only allow so many characters and sparrow exceeded that. So I went with canary, still staying true to keeping a bird in the name but also adding the memories of all the Sunday mornings my sisters and I watched Sylvester and Tweety. We only had a couple channels and looked forward all week to watching cartoons. Thus the reason Blind Canary was chosen. The name holds a special place in my heart.3 generations of wine makers here❤️

This week was a roller coaster of emotions. We started on a high with Gizmo having her kittens Sunday morning to a complete low on Monday afternoon when we learned the vet could do nothing to help our 12 year old Ragdoll, Griffin, and we had to say goodbye on Tuesday. He will be forever in our hearts and minds. Just a few pics of how he touched our lives. Our hearts are broken. When you take a kitten/cat into your home they will forever change your lives.

Kittens will be arriving soon and I can't wait. Seeing this is our first litter and we need to promote ourselves, if we get 600 likes we will give $200 off one lucky person who buys one of our kittens. That is great odds because there will only be 4-5 kittens on average. So if you are interested in one of our kittens please like and ask your friends and family to do the same. I know we do not have photos, but I guarantee with their bloodlines they will be beautiful.
