Y'all help me find this loveable guy a home, he's really the sweetest. Fully vetted, kennel trained, kid friendly, loves people and other dogs, not crazy about cats. He found out that he really loves the air conditioner esp in this HOT LA heat, so he's smart as a whip. He will literally chill in a kennel and watch us work all day happy as can be. Would make an awesome buddy! I've had this guy for quite some time, it's true that the black dogs and cats get adopted last, even though they are my favorite. Someone give this dude a chance 💙 Cheech

The leptospirosis vaccine is the easiest way to protect dogs from infection, but many dogs don't receive it.

"We have a good way to prevent the disease and to prevent the most severe cases of the disease, and that is the vaccine," Butty said.

The leptospirosis vaccine consists of an initial two-shot series spaced 4 weeks apart, which can be started in puppies at 12 weeks of age, followed by yearly booster shots. The timing of the yearly boosters is important. "If the booster is not on time, they are not considered vaccinated anymore and have to be restarted with the first two doses," Butty said. "Owners absolutely have to be on top of this and get an appointment with the vet before the due date." These guidelines are part of the updated consensus statement on leptospirosis in dogs published in 2023.

We are in desperate need of Foster's or adopters for these two sweet boys, they can be separated. I've been housing them for a few months now and they need homes. Both are fully vetted, good with kids, other dogs etc. These two were rescued from an awful situation and were in very bad shape upon admission to my clinic. Both are thriving now!!!
