Hey all, we took a much needed break for a vacation and to attend a disc dog jam session in Texas! While we were there Augie and I competed in our first AWI disc competition (vidoes below). He was fantastic and we ended up taking first in the Novice Freestyle division!! We are here for a few days and then back on the road a few more days to learn from the great Maryna Ozuna and learn about her Movement Markers tm philosophy with training dogs!!
I’m so proud of the work that the owners have put into Ru! He was a freight train 🚂 when I first met them…look at them now!🙌. They’ve come along nicely and still have work to do but I’m very pleased with their progress!

Beth, who is very concerned with anybody being close to her besides her owner, aloud me to escort her through the woods yesterday. Beth is on a Harness Lead because of her high flight risk. I use tools in training - this tool is appropriate for Beth. Tools have their place in training - selecting the right tool for the right dog is what is important.
