Let’s talk about FAILED Olive Eggers!

Olive eggers that come from a breeding where one parent may have only 1 green gene and the other parent is brown laying, have a 50/50 chance of laying green shades. In our flock Easter Eggers and Olive Eggers are crossed with Marans roosters and the offspring COULD lay a beautiful dark green OR this gorgeous chocolate color. Being a Chocolate Egger that was supposed to be an Olive Egger is not a bad thing, that other 50% can be very beautiful too.

It’s a guess what colors we will get from these Muscovys? One hen is a blue barred and the other is black with a pattern that looks laced but that didn't match anything in my research. The drakes seem to be slightly chocolate in the front and maybe silver or lavender on the tail?
