This cake was bittersweet to make, as it was an end-of-life cake for a very special pup who was deeply loved by his family. While it’s not the usual reason to celebrate, it can be seen as a tribute—a celebration of a life filled with love, joy, and countless cherished moments. Jake brought his family so much happiness over the years, and I hope his last day was spent surrounded by his favorite humans, showered with all the love he deserved. Sending hugs to his family during this difficult time 🤍🌈🐾

June is National Foster A Pet Month! #MyFirstFoster story began with Trixie, a sweet girl with the most adorable nose and ears. As a dog lover, I knew when my husband and I bought our first home I wanted to make a difference in shelter dogs' lives and give fostering a try. Despite our concerns about our dog's compatibility with other dogs, BMHS helped us find the perfect match in Trixie. Her charming personality stole my heart, and seeing her bond with my boy over her 2 months with us was heartwarming. Although I was heartbroken when she got adopted, seeing her with her new family reassured me. She had found her furever home 🐶🏡. Fostering Trixie changed my life, inspiring me to continue helping other dogs in need by continuing to foster. I highly recommend fostering to those with the means and space. It's a deeply fulfilling experience that not only helps dogs but also enriches your life in unexpected ways. Each dog brings its own story and personality, and being part of their journey to a forever home is truly special.
