10 years ago Dawn attended the Washington Veterinary Medical Association conference in Yakima. The very special surprise guest was Betty White. She became an honorary alumna of Washington State University in recognition of her years of support for the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. On behalf of team Walla Walla Barer especially our 5 furry adoptees Thank you Betty for a lifetime of work improving the lives of companion animals

November is Adopt a Senior Pet month! Might we recommend one? This cat's name is DQ. He's an old man in a hat. He's also super regal and majestic and beautiful, but... also... look.... old man cat in a hat!

Can we get a shout-out from anyone who has adopted a senior kitty?

DQ is very, very soft, he's a sweetheart, and he's 12 years old, which, in cat years, means he's ready to retire into his happily ever after life with your family, as a full-time cat!

He's pretty independent... but also snuggly and willing to put up with hats. We love him. He would like you to love him, too, please. Not a kitten, but... 100% excellent cat.

Let me also just say that this guy has wise-kitty eye contact. Whenever I walk past him, he meets my eyes, and I have to say hello. Literally... I wave and say "Hi, DQ." He appreciates this. If you need someone to talk to, he's willing to listen attentively.

Joker has been with us for five months... which is just way too long. He's a Good Boy who knows lots of commands, is crate trained and potty trained, and loves to play and snuggle. He's only 36 pounds - mid sized pup ready for adventures. He's an older guy at 7 years... but you wouldn't know it. He's got the energy of a two year old.

He's looking for a home without small children or other dogs. Do you know someone who fits the bill, and is looking for a new best friend?
