Pet Friends of Duplin County Promoting the health, safety and welfare of dogs and cats in Duplin County for over 20 years. Check out our website for upcoming events.

Formed by a small group of citizens, Pet Friends of Duplin County (PFDC) has evolved over the years. Our website lists our current programs to include our Spay/Neuter subsidy program, our free Rabies clinics, our support of the Duplin County Animal Shelter to help financially struggling citizens keep their pets and by providing heartworm tests to help make animals more adoptable or apt to be rescu

ed. We are starting a Pet Food Pantry and hope to develop a registry and education program for rescue transporters. We also have posted lots of info about resources in Duplin /county and what to do for lost and found animals. We need all of you - please join (on our website), like and follow us.

We have several opportunities for you to spend time with the animals here at the shelter and make a positive impact in the community for the New Year. You can sign up to volunteer at the shelter or visit the shelters website or give us a call. We have volunteer applications you can fill out online. Have you checked out our website out yet?

As we approach the end of 2024, many of us are finalizing our tax deductible donations. Please consider buying a brick for the new Duplin County Animal Shelter path. Each regular brick purchased is a $100 tax deductible donation. You can have it engraved in honor of a loved one or you pet or your organization.

Just a few examples of the fun at the Free 🆓 group Dog Classes at Farrior Park in Wallace. Isaiah and Kaitlyn Kennedy of Bark and Bone Pet Services are great. Two more classes left until September - June 15th & 22nd, 10 am. No fee. No sign up. Just come and enjoy.

ROSCOE is the only one still in need Please help this sweet pup ALL BUT TWO OF THESE DOGS HAVE FOUND A RESCUE OR AN ADOPTER. SADIE (FIRST DOG IN THE VIDEO) AND ROSCOE (FIFTH DOG IN THIS VIDEO) ARE BOTH GREAT DOGS, VERY LOVING, GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS. ALL YOU COULD ASK FOR IN A FAMILY PET.
