Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you're sleeping companion is as cute as mine. Pretty sure she would like me to get that flash out of her face and go back to sleep. LOL. We are still here, hoping to still be here when things finally turn around. I love my job and just can't imagine doing anything else. I hope everyone is doing well.

My friend spooky the cat passed Monday morning. She was Kim's cat and also someone I considered to be family. She started out Life as a barn cat. Eventually she had some health issues and was moved into the house. She was pretty shy and reserved in the house for a while. Eventually however she began to find her place in the house and of course her new best friend, Arnold the pig.😊. She lived a long life and was well-loved , I can assure you of this. She has friends and family members where she's going. One of the pictures is of her sitting in front of Arnold's door. This was the last one taken of her. I can't say for sure but I suspect she was saying goodbye.😪.

My whistling ducks are back this evening! In the eight years I have been doing this job, I have grown to depend on my daily interaction with animals. It has become part of my life. I'm really missing the animals I take care of. For now, ducks and birds in the backyard and the family cats will have to do. Although I think the cats may be getting slightly annoyed with me being home everyday. LOL. Everyone stay safe and hang in there. I can't imagine doing something else for work anymore , so I'm going to just hang on as long as I can and hope we can all get back to our normal lives.

We have a few new additions to the animal Antics extended family. I think I'll be seeing them again in 10 days or so.😊

This is Roxy. I took her on her last trip to the vet today. Her hip dysplasia had gotten to the point where she couldn't get around anymore.. she had a cheeseburger and french fries on the way over. She loved french fries so I figured what the heck. I had taken to calling her my supervisor in the last year or so. Whenever I was on the property working on something or whatever I was doing, she was always right there, very near. She loved to chase stuff. We used to go out at night and chase away the coyotes. I think she really enjoyed that. I was personally touched and enriched by her presence in my life. She was a great dog, a good friend and a wonderful daughter...... I already miss her terribly. Gone but never forgotten.
