I did not want to make a new public statement but today left me no choices. As everyone knows, Fred has been in medical care for a believe heart condition. He is now home after being in the hospital for over two weeks. We are happy he is finally home and no longer having to be under the medical care conditions such as a cage, IV's and a cone. But after two situations today, I have no choice to to make the following statements.

One, a person who had joined made comments about Fred. Asking me questions such as why I felt I did not have responsibility and such. I had to delete it and block them. As you all know, my husband asked none of our customers to seek and attack Fred's parents. He even asked for those able and willing to donate to Fred's bills. But it is clear Fred's Dad in particular does not have the same desire. I want to point out once more we offered a refund on Fred with him being returned after his first Vet visit 6 days after he was picked up. He was told he had heart failure and would be died in about 2 months. They declined. Then 3 days latter took him to NC State Vet Hospital. They waited 3 days to take him to a Vet hospital. Then the documents gave to use after 5 days of in their care state he was admitted for an enlarged heart. No speaking of heart failure or any other issue. After 4 days, all they found in all tests was an elevated heart rate. On the 5h day, they finally heard a heart murmur. Alone it is not a major concern after discussing with a few different medical experts. The report showed they also found no sign of heart failure or heart damage. Then they asked us for money and keep Fred due to their costs in his treatment. We declined, but did offer a second time a refund with his return. Stated we feel nothing is adding up based on our experience of bassets and what information they was given. Fred's dad called and was abusive and threatening. Making claims on how I care for my babies, and how my dogs have genetics issues. I informed him again at this point I had DNA tests done, and my dogs had no markers for issues. He then tried to go through his Vet and my Vet to seek in a unethical manner all records on Fred's mom and dad. All while never asking me for it first.

Since then we have not given any proof via medical documentation of his care or a diagnosis. Statements has been made, but they contradict some statements made elsewhere too. He has stated in sarcastic means how I feel he is missed diagnosed, but has never shown prove but make statements. So we tried on two occasions to refund money for Fred and take the responsibility of his care. All so they did not endure more costs and the offers was declined. So legally we have no responsibility. All while we have spoken how we do not wish anyone to seek them out for possible attacks and suggesting if those who want and can would donate for his bills. All while Fred's dad has been aware that if he filed his AKC papers, he would get a free month medical coverage for Fred, and would only have to pay a deductible. This was told to him by us, as well as people on his posts where he ignored and turned off comments on. So we have no responsibility legally since we offered to refund his money and take over Fred's care, but also cause he now has donations as well a AKC medical insurance option.

I really wish I did not have to speak more on this. It has became a sad situation for sure. I have lost contact to keep up with Fred's life as he grows. I have a customer who revealed to be at best a concerned risk to not be able to become apart of our extended family as we all are in keeping in contact and sharing photos and stories of all the fur babies. I even had to come to a point that I hope there is a issue with Fred to just justify all that he has gone through. But at this time we have not gotten any actual medical proof of anything after the first 5 days of the Vet Hospital. We have never gotten anything from his original Vet visit where he said Fred was going to die from heart failure. And with what we do have, it only shows a believed heart issue with no results of damage, heart failure, or proof of actual ending diagnosis.

This I hope will be my last post regarding Fred and the situation surrounding him. And again, as sad as it is we all can not keep Fred apart of our network of extended family, there seems to be no other option consider how things escalated by how Fred's dad has chosen to behave towards me, towards everyone here referring to everyone as "Fans" where he actually used quotations too, and calling my vet a "Country Bumpkin". I continue to ask for everyone to contribute if they can to help cover Fred costs in hopes what ever is refunded that is over his owners costs is used to to help others as promised by them. And I ask everyone still to be with me in wishing Fred well and hope for a happy final outcome for him. Either by his issue going away, or he gets this treatment to fix it. We just want Fred healthy, and home happy with his family. For no matter what I feel for how I was treated by Fred's dad, I do hope they have their fur baby for a full happy life to love on and be loved by.

I want to thank everyone for comments, messages, texts and phone calls. I hate this whole situation that's he has to be in a cage every day being poked at and finding no results. They give me no updates so I have to sneak around just to find out how he is doing and then go through the torture knowing I can't do anything. So I appreciate all of you, it means so much ❤️

I just wanted to put my side out there if you have seen the posts about Fred. I offered a refund after his first vist. Now he has been in a hospital for several day being poked and drugged they still can't find a thing wrong with him. His " owner" is saying he has a birth defect I was finally sent hospital reports and they show No heart defect. He has called me bullying me then he called my vet 15 times yesterday trying to get him write a letter saying he mis diagnosed him. So if you do see this story it is lies as you all know we thought Zelda had issues so I kept her so no I would Never adopt out a baby with issues! Sorry to post this I just wanted the truth to be out there. Thanks for all your support
