I did this dog one time last year. When Owner got him out, he was about 15 feet from the rattlesnake and the rattlesnake started rattling. The dog turned broke got away from the owner. Ran 75 yards to his car and jumped up on the hood.I’d say it’s stuck.

It's always great to get feedback. This guy got two saves. I don't recommend skipping years but it worked in his case.
