Have you heard of the story of Affirmed and Alydar?

The two Thoroughbreds raced each other time and time again, and time and time again, Affirmed beat Alydar. Alydar was a great racehorse, but Affirmed was just better, plain and simple. However, when it came time for their breeding careers to start, Alydar had the upper hand in pedigree and went on to become an extremely successful stallion, producing champion after champion.

Cannibal has one of the most sought after dam lines in the business, a bit reminiscent of Alydar. Cannibal’s dam is a half sister to Wold Champion If I Can Dream 1:49.4 ($1,990,276) and Western Terror 1:48.3 ($1,164,174), as well as Cinderella Guy 1:49.1 ($904,005), and many more very successful racehorses.
