For social critters like dogs, play is such an important part of being whole. At our puppy socials (1030-1130a Sundays), and all ages drop in (12-1pm Sunday; 6-7pm Wednesday) we always encourage play after some good, focused work. If all our dogs do is play, then they can develop overexcitement and reactivity around dogs, so structure first is important!! As the days are short and the nights are cold, you can add some indoor play time with hide-and-go-seek, tug, and trick training time.
