Here is a life lesson that will save you a bunch of heartache if you choose to be a horse trainer, or use one for that matter...

You do not "hire" a horse trainer as one would hire a gardener rather you contract one as you would a landscape designer. You tell the gardener what to do, how to do it and when to do it. A landscape designer evaluates your situation, gives you a plan on how they will solve it, and then they go about working their magic.

It really doesn't matter who mows your lawn or trims the hedge as long as it gets done once a week. You fire a gardener for not showing or not doing his job right or killing your grass.

However, the landscape designer gives you a yard that works with your environment, budget and climate. Ensuring their design will last for years to come and cause you little to no heartache. You do not hire or fire a landscape designer, they accept your situation and they quit if you don't work with them.

Are we seeing the pattern? Great horse trainers are not gardeners. They have passion, love and desire for the horse and their relationship with their owner. So if you want to save money and hire a gardener to plant your yard instead of a designer, you get what you pay for.
