Did you know that 30 years ago today, our Community Veterinary Care program was founded by a handful of passionate volunteers? Since then, Community Veterinary Care (formerly called the "Emergency Medical Fund"), has provided thousands of Contra Costa County pet guardians with high-quality, low-cost veterinary services for their dogs and cats. And it all started with some volunteers who had a big idea!

"Bells' new name is Cherry! But I also often call her a triclops (tripod-cyclops), lovingly of course because I am obsessed with her. She's doing great. She LOVES to play with toys, both cat and dog toys. She is such a little cuddle bug and non-stop purrs anytime I am around. Always wants head scratches and loves to smoosh her lil face onto my face. She is completely unbothered by her missing leg and I was able to administer her meds no problem."
