UPDATE: Thursday, 10/17/2024
Billy Farmer brought the first load of donations up the the WNC Livestock Center yesterday (Wednesday).
What they need now is fencing: specifically T-posts, barbwire and smooth wire. They would also be grateful for contributions of money toward the fencing. Billy is working with some local Tractor Supply and Feed and Seed stores to arrange discounts on fencing. Unfortunately, there is not a 501c-3 organization to receive donations. Should you want to donate money toward fencing, checks can be made out to Ashland Farm or to Billy Farmer. We will use any such donations to buy fencing at a discount and Billy will drive it up as soon as he has collected enough material for a mile of fencing.

Jacel Galloway is organizing donations for the WNC Livestock Center in Canton, NC, for the care of displaced animals & also for the volunteers struggling to take care of them. We have a drop off location at Ashland Farm, at the Grey Barn (530 Hwy 81, outside Walnut Grove). Jacel and Billy Farmer will drive the donation up to NC early next week.
