Meet Tessie 💜

Tessie has been diagnosed with inflammatory brain disease, a condition where inflammation in the brain can cause symptoms such as seizures, behavior changes, difficulty walking, or altered mentation. While this diagnosis can sound scary, many dogs can do very well with the right treatment and close monitoring.

Tessie is currently receiving specialized care from our neurology team, and her progress is being carefully followed to give her the best possible outcome. She’s been an absolute sweetheart through it all and continues to show us just how resilient dogs can be.

We’re so proud of you, Tessie 🐶✨

Over the past year, Amanda has consistently brought skill, compassion, and calm confidence into the OR. Her dedication to patient care, teamwork, and willingness to always step up make a meaningful difference every single day—for our surgeons, her teammates, and of course, the animals we’re honored to care for.

Freedom was so clearly loved, and it was an honor for our team to be part of his journey. He touched all of us here too, and we’re grateful we could help give you more time with your special boy. Thank you for sharing his light with us. We’re holding your family in our hearts.

We fought hard and he fought harder but we didn’t get the miracle we prayed for. Today we said goodbye to the best boy there ever was. Three and a half years was all we got but he gave enough love to fill up lifetimes. Freedom made friends everywhere he went- people would meet him so briefly and say things like: I needed that, he just made my day, there’s something so special about him. We’d hear it over and over and couldn’t agree more. The heart dog. The dog we aren’t sure how to live without.

We’d like to thank Advanced Veterinary Specialty Center for giving us the only thing we truly wanted which was more time. We got 8 months from diagnosis which is no small feat. Without their expertise and compassion we wouldn’t have had those precious months and we will be forever grateful.

Thank you for helping us love him.
