Silhouette Artist John Martin is a native of South Carolina, born in Colleton County. His career as an artist began in 1968.

Upon discovering he has the gift of creating portraits and scenes with paper and scissors, John began to develop his own style as a silhouettist. His art consists of freehand silhouettes without the use of patterns and/or templates.

Mr. Martin offers a unique opportunity for your customers. John hand cuts a person's profile as he/she sits. Adults, children's and pets profiles may be captured in silhouette form. Having a silhouette artist visit your shop, may bring new customers..
$25 for one $40 for two ..profiles may be cut from a photo
The silhouettes are mounted on an 5x7 background, matted and suitable for framing, or displayed in a Christmas ornament for the Christmas tree or other prominent location.
You are asked advertise the artist and make appointments. Allow 10 minutes per appointment...Walk ins welcome....as time permits. Your shop receives a 20% donation of total sales for this service. All major credit cards, cash and checks accepted. Artist collects payment when profiles are cut or shop may collect payment in advance.
According to Google search there are only 15 known silhouette artist in the world, that cut free hand using scissors. Mr. Martin is one of the fifteen.
