This is a friendly service reminder that the clinic hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Arrival outside of those times, means we are closed and no one will be available to help you. Most of you know that the clinic operates out of Dr. Emily's home. These hours are in place to make sure that Dr. Emily can have a normal life outside of working hours. Please do not show up to the clinic outside of operating hours.

Additionally, Dutton Veterinary Services sees limited small animal emergencies during regular business hours. This is dependant on staff and veterinarian availability. Please do not show up with your emergency without calling and speaking to a staff member first. We have had to turn away several people who brought their emergency to the clinic without calling. We do not see emergencies for nonclients.

Hey! An update on our friend Moon! After her antitoxin treatment, Moon has remained in our barn for close observation. Because she had dropped weight and was less able to eat hay we have been feeding most of her diet as alfalfa pellets, which is easier for her to eat. We also started vitamin E and selenium supplementation as these are important for healthy nerves and immune system. We finally feel like she's improving! Watch the video to see how she is doing. We noticed less overall wobblyness, less having to catch herself while walking and eating more hay out of her hay net! We are so excited by her progress. Thank you to everyone who has been kind and generous in your donations. Moon appreciates your help too!

Our Story

Dutton Veterinary Services PLLC was started by Dr. Emily in 2017. Before that she was teaching in the veterinary technology program at SUNY Delhi. Dr. Emily loved teaching students but missed her primary passion, helping animals. Today the practice is going strong and Dr. Emily sees a mix of patients including poultry and swine. Dr. Emily still wants to teach students and intends to help students of veterinary programs get a taste for the life of a rural veterinarian through an externship program. Stay tuned!
