Part-Time Stable Assistant

Job Duties Include:

-Daily horse care (feeding, dressing for turnout, turnout, monitoring horses while in turnout, cleaning waters, sweeping, laundry) No stall cleaning.

-Medical care (wrapping, cold-hosing, poulticing, icing, preparing/administering oral medication)

Cleaning and organizing barn/common areas

Friday and weekend availability are required.

We are looking for a dedicated horse lover to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work for a high performance dressage team in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Applicants should have prior horse experience and work well in a team environment. We are specifically looking for someone with attention to detail who is a self-starter and would feel comfortable working on their own as needed.

We are willing to train and develop an employee, but previous horse experience is preferred.

This is a non-riding position, pay will be hourly and based on experience.

Ideal candidate will have prior stallion handling experience and feel comfortable leading/handling all types of horses.

We are looking to fill the following position!

Part Time Stable Assistant:

Hours are negotiable, Friday and weekend availability are required.

This position will primarily be responsible for keeping the barn tidy and clean, but will also be trained to assist in the daily horse-care schedule as needed. Potential to work more hours when manager is traveling or when trainers are away at horse shows/clinics.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Barn cleaning & assisting with special cleaning projects
- Feeding & Turnout
- Health care/medication administration
- Hand-walking/Horse handling

This is a non-riding position, pay is based on experience.
