Shoutout to our wonderful Veterinary Nurse, Stacie, and our awesome Veterinary Assistants, Elena and Kelsey. They don't have an easy job, but love helping all of the animals and humans that love them. Their bosses are so appreciative of their dedication and passion towards everyone's pets! 💜🧡💙

We are all so sad to hear about the devastation in Westmoreland. It is such a heartbreaking situation for so many people. Our boarding facility is available for any displaced pets and our team is ready to care for any that might be injured. Please reach out if you need any assistance. This poor guy was found by a good samaritan on the side of Flush road near School Creek Rd earlier today. He is an intact male with a grey collar. It appears he was hit by a vehicle. Please call our office if anyone knows who he belongs to!

Please help us congratulate Dr. Rottinghaus and her family as they welcomed a new baby girl last week. Everyone is doing great and adjusting to their new schedules! She will be out of the office for a bit as she recovers and spends time with her new addition. 🩷

👀 Don't look now, but it's an Irish Wolfhound puppy in real life! 😍

We don't get to see very many of these gentle giants as "tiny" puppies so we had to snap a picture of little Mable snoozing after her wellness visit.

We can't wait to watch you grow, Mable! 🐶❤️

We had such a great Veterinary Technician Week! We celebrated with lunches, gifts, and peanut butter rolls (of course)!

Our nurse and assistants are such an integral part of our team and we appreciate them so much. Their job description is endless: receptionist, nurse, anesthesiologist, dental hygienist, pet cuddler, kennel tech, cleaning pro, and most importantly: reading our doctors' minds. 😁

Stacie, Shayla, and Elena are the best and we hope they had a great week! They truly care for all of the animals that walk in our door and their compassion is unwavering.

👀 Look close to see a bunch of tiny red blood cells with a few baby heartworms swimming around!😲 🪱

😔 Unfortunately, we have seen a couple of patients test positive for heartworm disease recently. You've probably heard us talk about it before, but these parasites are spread by mosquitos and invade the main arteries of the heart. Luckily, it can be treated, but it is hard on the patient and pretty expensive as well.

📆 This is just another reminder about how important it is to stay on monthly preventatives year round!

‼️ We have a brand new product available, NexGard Plus, that prevents fleas, ticks, and heartworms all in one! We also still have Heartgard Plus and Interceptor Plus readily available.

Some Mondays are just perfect for a day on the golf course! Dr. Rottinghaus enjoyed golfing for a good cause this week. It's even more fun when the course is in our backyard! 😁

We love helping our favorite animals, but we also enjoy contributing to the community with involvement in the Wamego Community Foundation, The Columbian Theater, Wamego Chamber of Commerce, and donating to our amazing 4th of July festivities, to name a few. This is such a great small town community and we love supporting it! ❤️

We are so excited to add ultrasound as a new diagnostic tool to better serve our wonderful patients!

Dr. Rottinghaus just got back from an ultrasound training program in Texas. While there, she got great hands on experience and learned a lot of new information. She is excited to use this as another tool to help keep our patients happy and healthy!
