This poor guy was found by a good samaritan on the side of Flush road near School Creek Rd earlier today. He is an intact male with a grey collar. It appears he was hit by a vehicle. Please call our office if anyone knows who he belongs to!

We had such a great Veterinary Technician Week! We celebrated with lunches, gifts, and peanut butter rolls (of course)!
Our nurse and assistants are such an integral part of our team and we appreciate them so much. Their job description is endless: receptionist, nurse, anesthesiologist, dental hygienist, pet cuddler, kennel tech, cleaning pro, and most importantly: reading our doctors' minds. 😁
Stacie, Shayla, and Elena are the best and we hope they had a great week! They truly care for all of the animals that walk in our door and their compassion is unwavering.

😔 Unfortunately, we have seen a couple of patients test positive for heartworm disease recently. You've probably heard us talk about it before, but these parasites are spread by mosquitos and invade the main arteries of the heart. Luckily, it can be treated, but it is hard on the patient and pretty expensive as well.
📆 This is just another reminder about how important it is to stay on monthly preventatives year round!
‼️ We have a brand new product available, NexGard Plus, that prevents fleas, ticks, and heartworms all in one! We also still have Heartgard Plus and Interceptor Plus readily available.

Some Mondays are just perfect for a day on the golf course! Dr. Rottinghaus enjoyed golfing for a good cause this week. It's even more fun when the course is in our backyard! 😁
We love helping our favorite animals, but we also enjoy contributing to the community with involvement in the Wamego Community Foundation, The Columbian Theater, Wamego Chamber of Commerce, and donating to our amazing 4th of July festivities, to name a few. This is such a great small town community and we love supporting it! ❤️

Big thanks to Molly's Dalmatians Mom and Dad (Joanie and Sam) for the wonderful surprise lunch! All of us here are so appreciative of your kindness. It was very nice to take a little break from our busy day to enjoy some sweets and sandwiches together as a staff. Everyone is so happy to hear that Molly and her puppies are doing great! 🐶
Check out this adorable video of Molly meeting her newest puppy for the first time! 🥰 Molly gave birth to 5 adorable little dalmatians over the weekend. When she wasn't feeling 100%, her owners knew it was time to have a post partum check. Good thing they followed their instincts because Molly had one more surprise for them! Our crew jumped into action, prepped Molly for a c-section, and helped deliver this precious little guy. We all loved watching Molly be a great momma to her babies! ❤
