Hello everybody. While I’m still setting up the SIGN UP FORM please email me at [email protected] with your name, county or town, and what size dogs you would be able to foster.
This is getting REAL.
Being in my position I have seen a lot, I have watched 6 of my rescues forced out because of a lack of fosters and the cries are growing larger.
If you looked at that last sentence and thought of a human. Your wrong.
6 rescues… that’s over 100 dogs a month that will be euthanized because they aren’t active. One of the MAJOR reasons is a lack of fosters and placement for our animals. If the East Coast has love for our animal friends there are many routes to take here.
1. Foster an animal. * MOST IMPORTANT *
Plain and simple, you will be given the items necessary to care for the animal, provided by your connected rescue, during the time you foster.
2. Become a spokesperson.
Most towns and landlords don’t allow animals on their property due to “uncleanliness” and “destruction of property”
It’s time to open the worlds eyes and allow pets in every home/apartment/condo. It’s an argument set out to better animalkind and it could help with mental illness. This is a great start to our plea.
3. SHARE!!!
Share because even if you can’t, someone you know can. And to give this information to someone who doesn’t have this information IS HELPING.
4. Temporary Fostering
If long term fostering is not your thing but you still want to help. Short term fostering is available. It could be a few hours up to (MAXIMUM) 7 days.
Temporary/Short Term Fostering could save a dog from getting euthanized and give that animal a wild shot at life.
To show these animals love is MOST IMPORTANT.
So please, before you say “Awuh I wish I could…” and move on. Know that these dogs haven’t; They haven’t found a nice place to go at the end of the night. They can’t just shut off their phone and look up and see four comfortable walls filled with calming air and go to sleep. They are scared and need your help. So reach out, ask your landlord, ask your parents, ask your friends to help you save a life.
