ISO Large Pony for lease - please read this carefully and ONLY respond if the pony you have meets our criteria! Need a pony able to meet the needs of two girls. The first needs a pony to move up from the Beginners to Low Childrens Pony. Needs to be honest, jump courses at two feet, and either have or be able to get a change put on it. The second is moving up from Lead Line to Minis. The pony needs the be able to be ridden by a very small girl - quiet and safe is essential. Some maintenance is ok. Looks and movement are not that important, but attitude and a good heart are. No vices or spook! Free leases are always best, but a moderate lease fee is possible. Would have the best possible home and care and would be loved on every day! Need at least a one year lease, put a possibility for two years exists. Please PM Lori with any SERIOUS contenders. Here are a couple of pics of the girls.

SAVE THE DATE!! Four Farthing Farm in Wantage, NJ will be hosting another Shane Ledyard Clinic on Saturday, March 22nd. Those of you who have ridden with Shane before know that he is a judge, rider, coach, and author. He is also knowledgeable, insightful, a great communicator, and kind to both horses and riders of all levels. Mark your calendar whether you want to have a "tune up" before going out to show the 2025 season or maybe bring a youngster out for its first clinic to our low key, laid back, no pressure atmosphere. There will be sections on the flat, over crossrails, all the way up to...as high as people want to jump. Here is a pic of Shane showing in the hunters and a few pics from last year's clinic where we all had a great time and learned a lot! More information will be coming out closer to the date, but feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

This post is outrageously late, but I was having trouble downloading the pictures so please forgive me. On 26 October, Jessica and Derby went to the ESDCTA Championships. It was their first time showing the finals at First Level and they were just wonderful! They did First Test 3 for their first ride and got an impressive 68.056%, their highest score of the year for this test. First Test 2 was their second ride and, although Derby was a bit tired at that point, they still got 63.182%. This placed them 4th overall in some very impressive company. I want to congratulate them both for showing everyone what they have worked so hard all year to achieve.

As we wind down our show season, Jessica and Derby represented the Four Farthing Show Team at the Square One Dressage show this past Sunday. Jessica admitted to being a bit nervous about moving up to First level Tests 2 and 3, but you would not have known it to watch her, and Derby was a star! They put in two solid tests and, as it was the last show of the series, they took home the 3rd place ribbon in First Level and overall Pony Champion for the 2025 season. Very proud of them both! Now, ESDCTA championships, here we come!!

Last weekend we traveled to Heavenly Rose Equestrian LLC. for another show in the The Sussex County Hunter/Jumper Schooling Show Series. They say rain is good luck and Samantha and Guy took full advantage of this in the Maiden Hunter division where they were division champions. Jess and Evo also joined us there and showed in the Pleasure classes where they earned some nice ribbons. You can tell from both girls' faces how much fun they had, even in the rain!

I’m finally getting around to posting how the Four Farthing Show Team did at the Sussex Fair and the preceding Local and Friends Day. Spoiler alert – they were AWESOME! Horses and riders stepped up to the challenge of riding at a big, rated show (the first time for all 5 of of my riders) and showed us all how it’s done. I can’t list everything they accomplished, but here are the highlights: Samantha and He’s my Guy were Champions on Local Day in the Hunter Cross Rails division, Aundrea and Bregalad (Laddie) showed in the Low Hunter Derby at the Fair and placed 5th out of 22, and Anne Marie and Kip were just a couple of points shy of Reserve Champion in in the Beginner Hunter at the Fair. But the real stars were our Lead Liners, Miles on Sweet Caroline and Adelyn on Laddie. On Local Day, they were Champion and Reserve Champion, respectively, and then at the Fair they were Co-Champions! Samantha, Aundrea, and Adelyn also won the team competition in the Horseless Horse Show. And, last of all, we took 3rd place in the Best Tack Room competition. But the very best was watching friendships grow, kids learn about sportsmanship and hard work paying off, and their bonds with the horses getting deeper each day. There were so many great shots that I had a dreadful time selecting pictures for this post, but please enjoy these!

The Four Farthing Show Team was at the Sussex Benefit show this past Wednesday as a wind up for the Fair shows beginning on 5th. We had such a great day and there were sooooo many pictures that I cannot possibly share then all! But here are the highlights: Miles and Carolina were Champions in the lead line division, Aundrea missed Reserve Champ by just a few points in the Beginner Rider division, Anne Marie rode a very relaxed and obedient Kip in her division getting extremely nice ribbons for her efforts, and Christian went on the road with us for the first time and was a terrific help to us all. Samantha and Guy also joined us just to get him "off property" for the first time in over a year and Guy was a perfect gentleman the entire day, schooling in the warm-up as if he had never missed a show. All of this bodes well for the Fair - if the weather will cooperate!! Warning: These pictures are in absolutely no order, so just enjoy them as best you can.

I know this is late - again - but it took a while to get all of the pictures pulled together. FFF had the second in its series of three schooling dressage shows on 30 June and the weather held out, at least mostly. Although we had a short period of rain in the afternoon, it was still a great day for everyone. Results have been sent to the ESDCTA and will be posted in their next publication. Many thanks to all of our entrants, their horses, to our volunteers, and to our judge, Erin Hurley, for her excellent feedback. Enjoy the pictures!

We had perfect weather to show this past Sunday at Heavenly Rose Equestrian LLC. Adelyn showed Lead Line away from home for the first time and rode extremely well. Aundrea also showed away from home the first time and she and Laddie did very well in both the Maiden Hunter and Beginner Rider. Avery and Rosie did the Pleasure division and, I have to say, Avery rode better than I think I have ever seen her ride at an away show. But the very best part of the day was watching all of the girls work together and bond over their horses. Truly a very successful day!
