It's official - Four Farthings Rosemary, by Cappa Cassanova, is pregnant! The sire is Gemstone Clover RID C1. This cross brings together many of the most influential Irish Draught lines including King of Diamonds, Clover Hill and Ben Purple, to name a few. If you look at the video, you can see the baby's heartbeat in this 28-day ultrasound (that little flutter in the middle of what looks like a fuzzy seahorse at this point in time). We are so excited - can't wait to meet this young man or miss!! Next Spring seems so far away...
We all want to congratulate Adriana on her first time trotting all by herself over poles! Anyone who rides remembers the first time they...fill in the blank. That first canter, that first jump, that first lead change. I hope she remembers this terrific moment all of her life. It is moments like these that make teaching worthwhile. And I also want to congratulate our own Laddie boy on his continued patience with all of his riders. He is truly a saint!
I am so, so, so proud of my baby, Ellie (Four Farthings Elanor). Last night she trotted under saddle for the first time off the longe line and - honestly - she just couldn't have cared less. She also shared the ring with another horse cantering for the first time and, even when he passed close by or he came up from behind her, she never even flicked an ear. She is the same whether she is alone or in company and doesn't care when they show up or leave mid-way through. Such a good baby! And many thanks to Jose for helping me while I've been out of commission for a while, keeping her going for me.
So, so happy to see Diana's Diego going so well today and just as happy for Avery that she got to ride such a lovely horse on such a beautiful day. They lessoned extremely well together and I want to say thanks to Diana for letting us use Diego!
Annie Longeing Feb 2020
Four Farthings Rowan (Annie) longeing for just the 4th time.
Kayden and Bella outside - Mar 2019
Another first for Bella! After schooling indoor over fences with Whit, we decided to bring her to the outdoor ring for a quick hack. Kayden got on and she was super special for him, going around like an old hand and Kayden looked terrific on her, too. Just soooo cute!!!
Maple and Annie grooming each other
It is really cute when a Momma and a baby are scratching one another, but it is at least twice as cute when two Mommas and babies are scratching each other at the same time! Here are Maple & Annie really getting into bonding with each other!!

Kayden and P cantering 1st jump
Today Kayden cantered his first jump - woohoo! And Mr. P teaches another young rider the ropes. Love this pony and admire this young man.
Kayden cantering
Today was an exciting first at the farm. This is a video of Kayden cantering for the first time! Derby was very obliging, despite the scary wind noises outside. So proud of both of my boys today!!
