Our MAYFLOWER has safely come ashore in a loving

Lovely MAYFLOWER has her own family now.
She is many miles away from the grounds of Pilgrim State Hospital where she was found nursing newborns furing the summer.
Her new Mom works from home. She has bonded with her new brother, and she will be the only pet.

He's a recent rescue from Georgia- a 1 yr old chocolate Lab mix with amber eyes. A lovable Lab lad, weighing 32 pounds.
He arrived Saturday with his twin sister BARBIE. KEN doesn't know BARBIE has an application already.
Please don't tell him.
But do come visit KEN at our Wantagh Adoption Center.

🐈 LAST HOPE $30 LOW COST TNR Clinic at our Wantagh Adoption Center Parking Lot on
SUN. November 16th .😻

A veterinarian & vet techs in a mobile hospital will be performing these spay/neuters.

The cost is $30 per cat.
Last Hope is holding spots for the public with no more than 3 cats per caretaker.

🏥 Please note Last Hope made certain changes to our TNR clinics, explained briefly here with more detail in Last Hope website link below-
● Cats will receive basic TNR-spay/ neuter surgery, ear-tip, rabies & FVRCP vaccine for $30.
Do NOT bring microchips or request FeLV/FIV testing.
● Litters of kittens that will be adopted are not permitted at van clinic. Strictly for ferals.
*NO KITTENS*

All cats at this Last Hope TNR Clinic will be ear-tipped (to identify their altered status ).

🐈 JULIET's Love Story.😻
This sweet tabby was born near the 5th of July. Five weeks later, JULIET & 5 siblings were found orphaned inside an Inwood garage.
They were lovingly fostered by volunteer Kathy B.
JULIET went home with previous adopters.
Hopefully, she will find her ROMEO bond with our ROCKY who is now called NICO.
Her pet parents bought everything for her in pink, and JULIET will keep her name.

🐈‍⬛️ You've heard of church mice. but have you ever heard of Church Kittens?⛪️
Now you will. Sisters-ALLOY & AMINO were trapped on the property of a Woodbury
church when they were babies.
They were fostered by their rescuer- a Last Hope volunteer.
The pretty gals are 6 months old-,playful, bonded and tad frightened.
They would love a calm home where they can relax & become happy & carefree.

Help Last Hope Fix Stella's Helluva Legs

Imagine being a two month old orphan tabby with two broken legs.

That was Stella's predicament when she was discovered two weeks ago outside Estelle's dress shop in Farmingdale.
A volunteer got a call that a kitten was struggling to walk in the parking lot, apparently hit by a car. The tabby needed assistance immediately.

Our volunteer rushed over to retrieve the kitten and brought her home. She called Last Hope for help .

The next day, the kitten, now named Stella, went to one of our veterinarians who discovered she had two limb fractures on the left side -in her front and rear legs.

We arranged a consult with an orthopedic surgeon. Stella is receiving pain killers while waiting for repair.

Stella, our baby kitten, needs surgery to stabilize her rear hind leg with a pin. Her front leg will be observed for a few months to see if it heals on its own.

Surgery for the front is scheduled, but will cost us a pretty penny ( aka " several thousand dollars").

We are asking everyone to dig deep in their pockets and contribute a small or large amount to defray the cost of Stella's surgery.

Together, we can fix Stella's helluva legs so she can walk and play like other kittens do.

Pet owners shouldn't have to decide between nourishment for their furry best friends or putting food on the table for themselves.
Never has there been such a need to help fight the rising petfood insecurity faced by owners & caretakers.
Inflation & halted SNAP
assistance is turning pet
guardianship into a luxury.
We don't want people forced to surrender beloved pets because they can't afford tobfeed them.
This truth is tragic.
Therefore, Last Hope is holding a Petfood Drive to supply Gary Kaufman's "'Nobody Starves on LI" efforts.- Gary makes free petfood available to owners at various locations.
Right now, there is a dire need for CAT FOOD- canned &
dry.
YES, dogfood- canned & kibble is desired also.
All petfood can be dropped off at our Wantagh Adoption Center , 3300 Beltagh Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793.
We are storing your petfood gifts inside the big Meet & Greet room.

🌶Pretty PEPPER wants you to "pick a pepper" with hopes you will pick her. She tries hard to get visitors to adopt her.🫑
PEPPER was rescued alone in Oyster Bay at 5 months old.
She was fostered by the same kind lady who saved her.
Now 10 months old, PEPPER is at our Wantagh Cat Center.
She is so adorable. If you are taking a photo of the kitten in the next cage, PEPPER reaches out of her cage & tries to tap you as if to say:
"Please pick a Pepper!"
